If you weight more than 240 lbs., do not buy this!!!
I have experienced the exact same thing as the March 31, 2002 post. After placing my double sized hammock on the stand at the highest notche, the support bars bent at where they angle up. And I only used the hammock stand for not even 2 hours. I think 6'2" (240 lbs.) is under the 500 lbs. maximum. Unless the manufacturer forgot to move the decimal place to the left one position (i.e., 50 lbs. maximum).

Damaged stand never delivered
I ordered the hammack and stand together, great price for both items.I did receive the hammock but FedEx return the stand to the shipper because of damage.Amazon did send a second stand out so now I have both the hammack and stand that I ordered. The only problem is that Amazon now wants to bill me for the original stand I never received.Hopefully, we will get this resolved. However, it is NOT worth the hassle to order this product from Amazon.

Good but not the best
I bought the set with the hammock plus this stand. I will say it was worth the $99 I spent but it does have negatives. The stand has no interlocking parts. This makes the stand hard to move when it is assembled as it does not lock together. This annoys me as the locking parts would have probably cost an extra $3 on the price. Cutting corners like this seems almost foolish to me as the locks would be worth it. Otherwise the stand seems strong and works well. The hammock I recieved had a tag made in India and by the looks of it labor was not the only thing they saved on. The rope looks kind of cheap and the hammock needs to be hung high or when your in it you will sit on the floor. I guess for free I am happy enough with the hammcok but it is cheaply made! ... Just a Swinging!
I bought this for really cheap and I cant wait until spring when I can use it!I didnt think that I wanted a rope hammock, but the price was right and now that I have it I love it and cant wait to use it outside!

Give it time
It is funny to read these review of people complaining of the hammock sagging.Of course being a cotton hammock, there is some stretch to work out of it.The first time I sat on it, I was on the ground rather quickly.However, unlike the other negative reviews, I simply retied the knots to make it tight again.Magically, the hammock stayed up, some people need to learn patience!I spent most of my summer taking a nap, and reading books on it. I recommend it to everyone.

damaged shipping box and missing parts
The cardboard carton was torn in many places and had been re-taped in an attempt to keep the box together. In addition, an essential part was missing. The side brace that supports weight was missing. This was discovered just about the time the bench had been completely assembled. Not likely that it can be returned due to the condition of the carton and the weight of the bench.

Broken
a piece was broken, and you better have a drill.

Astonica 50102314 Bench
This is a well built and ez to put together "park" bench.

It has a heavy coating and is solid wood and steel.

DO NOT confuse it with the cheapos you will find at Rite Aid and food stores. This bench has better formed wood and a heavy coating, the other cheap type is untreated and tends to come out of the box warped.

where is it!
Today is June 16th. I ordered this darn chime on May the 6th (next day mail). It has not even been mailed yet. So something is messed up here with shipping. Think Woodstock is not supplying AMZN in a reputablemanner.Hope you don't order a gift and get it back ordered for months. Hmm this is unlike AMZN

I'd always wanted a big set of chimes - well these ARE IT!And they are BIG!They sound great - just like church bells.Very happy, and the price can't be beat!

I guess I did not pay close attention to the description of this item when I ordered it because when it arrived I was shocked by the size. It is huge.I had to laugh, but I am also delighted.I got it on sale and it is definitely one of the best buys I've gotten anywhere in a long time.Beautiful sound - it really does sound like church bells. I just got the opportunity to review it when I reviewed a book - now I'm going to go see if it is still offered.If it is I'm going to get one for my parents for Christmas!

I have a set of these windchimes and though beautifully tuned, I could never get them to ring.I have other types of chimes on the outside of my house, they all chime, but I could never find a location where these would ring.I am very disappointed with this product.

I have had Woodstock Wind Chimes for years. The wood top got weather beaten after about 8 years. I called them. They said to send it to them. They put new wood on it, checked the tuning and restrung it. What did they charge?????? NOTHING !!

All they asked was that I would "pass the word" or remember them when I need a gift. So I am doing both..... telling all of you and I'm buying a couple for gifts. This is a Great price too!!!

You can't go wrong with Woodstock Wind Chimes. Made in the Catskill Mountains of New York!! BUY AMERICAN !

The sounds of this windchime are absolutely beautiful, however, I am having a difficult time placing the windchimes where the chimes will work.I have moved them all over my yard and have not yet found the most suitable place.A peaceful sound does come out of these chimes and through trial and error I will find the right location for them. ... These are lovely chimes
I was pleased with the visual blending of the brass chimes in my garden. Also, the synthetic rock base to which they are attatched looked surprisingly realistic among the natural rock. Where I live there is seldom enough wind to make them ring, though. However, my outdoor cats have become fond of ringing them and I am considering buying a second one.

Not pleased with it
... It seems to me that the unit makes little noise except in high direct wind.

Yes, I've read the instructions and performed the prescribed adjustments.It's still too quiet.Some would call it subtle I suppose.

My other problem is I find the unit ugly.I've had a hard time placing it anyplace in my garden where I can't conceal the base.I like the bells but the artificial rock base is cheesy ....

I wish I never bought this product.I received a cheap dragonfly stake as a free bonus with this purchase and I appreciate that stake more than the garden bells. ... Read more

Nice buy.
I bought this for my mother who has an extreme hummingbird resort in her backyard.This feeder is beautiful hanging in the tree; however, the birds have a hard time finding the hole to drink from.I had to paint a flower around the hole for them to find it.

It's a nice buy for someone who loves the beauty of it, but it will confuse the birds for hours.

Beautiful
I also have the Opus butterfly mobile, which is equally as beautiful. The construction is solid, yet the bird floats as if it's lighter than air.

My whirly pinwheels go in the backyard. This is a front yard piece. I can't wait to see if Opus comes out with any more of these mobiles. They are artistry in motion. The perfect addition to any landscape.

It's Okay
First, it didn't stand up to high winds which blew it down a few times, so I finally took it off and hung it from another hook attached to the house.Second, it faded--quite a bit.With that said, I still like the artistic quality of it, and it's still hanging, minus the floral attachment.

A few irreverent comments
I guess when pink lawn flamingoes became too tacky to have on your front lawn, they needed to invent something else. So now we have glass dragonflies. What will they think of next? I don't have any of these, but I've seen other people on our block put them on their flower planters. Maybe they sort of act like insect scarecrows and keep the aphids and other pests away? Anyway, they actually look better than you can see from the picture here, although I don't think they'll fool another dragonfly, but who cares what a dragonfly thinks? The important thing is that you can one-up your neighbor on the tacky/kitsch scale with a few of these.

Glass Dragonflies
These really are beautiful and well worth the money.The glass is thick, and the colors are beautifully translucent when the sun shines through them.They come in three different sizes, heights so that you can place them with different types of plants, with great effect.I am so pleased to see that Amazon.com now offers the butterfly stakes, I will definitely purchase those as well.
