Good first impression but aging is a challange
I bought 6 chairs, a table and 2 chaise lounges a year ago. Assembly was a snap, and craftsmanship suprisingly OK. It looked so good I passed on the recommendation to sand the furniture. Bad move: the stuff splinters like crazy. If you're here because of the "low cost" yet love your wife and kids, factor this in: You'll need to hit Home Depo and get an electric sander, enough replacement disks and a large size container of Teak Oil. Choose a Saturday and get to work, and make sure you enjoy it because this needs to repeat every few months. On the bright side: your kid won't be dragging this chair around (neither would your wife)...

Very Good Chair, Reasonable Price
This chair goes together effortlessly.Fit and finish was perfect.I think it took about ten minutes to assemble.Add another ten minutes to put teak oil on it (to preserve the natural wood color) and that's about it.

If you plan to sit in the chair for more than about ten minutes, I'd highly recommend the Oxford chair seat cushion, your back side will be forever glad.

Quality and Style -- Take it from a Wood Worker
I was surprised and pleased to receive the four Chadwick Collection Oxford Garden Designs armchairs I ordered only three days earlier.As a wood worker myself, I was amazed at the quality of construction, elegance of design and sturdiness of the assembled chairs.While the first chair took about fifteen minutes to assemble while reading instructions, the remaining three took only about five each.More importantly, the shorea wood came very close to matching the teak wood table I also bought (just a shade more red and with a bit less distinctive wood grain), thereby saving me about half the price of teak chairs.Moreover, the shorea wood chairs are noticably more substantial in weight and therefore would seem more durable.The only negative with the chairs was some small glue spots which became apparent with dampness.About ten minutes of light hand sanding corrected the problem for all four chairs.I couldn't be more delighted with the quality and workmanship of the chairs and have considered taking off the metal labels to encourage friends to think I made them! ... Beauty over comfort
This bench looks beautiful, especially after treatment with teak oil, and was easy to assemble (once we figured out we had a connector piece upside down). It could definitely be made more comfortable, however. The back is very straight, and is not very comfortable to sit on for very long. The same is true for the matching chair. This seems like a problem the designers could easily fix. It points out the drawbacks of ordering online, since it would be difficult to return these items, especially after assembly.

Great quality, but a little bigger ergonomically could help.
First I have two of these and they are very high quality in the wood and the build.So what could be better you ask?Well, they seem a bit shallow in the seat and too upright on the back support.What this means is that you can certainly take a nice enough sit for a short time, but if you plan on sitting a while you'll be squirming a bit.

This is my opinion and what this is is just that.I have found at twice the price there are quite a few options so I guess you can't have everything at this competitive price.

I don't regret buying these benches, but would have gladly paid a reasonable bit more if they were more ergonomic.It would not take a lot of expense to do this...just a bit more angle to the back and about one or two more slats width for the seat itself.

I hope the manufacturer reads this because I feel strongly that when your 90% there you should bite the bullet and go that last 10% that can truly make your product an outright "world beater"!

A little rough around the edges
All in all, you are getting what you pay for. The furniture is solid enough, but within a month, we are experiencing some big fissures developing in the wood. Nothing that will cause structural integrity issues, but bad enough that it catches your eye. Then again, we are paying about a third less than true teak stuff.

parts don't line up
I bought this chair and the 48" bench. The bench assembled easily and all the parts lined up. Unfortunately, the chair did not. The parts did not line up. Since the dowel rods used to assemble the chair do not come out easily, I was stuck. Fortunately, with a cushion on the chair it's hardly noticeable. If you buy this chair, I would suggest placing the pieces together to make sure they line up. Something I should've done. Once you start assembling, you can't start over. I would also suggest getting a cushion for the back. This chair is uncomfortable if you sit in it for more than 20 minutes.

ADD A "ROOM" TO THE HOUSE!
It started with those high priced catalogs full of teak and it made it's way as usual to Amazon.com to see what they had...I was pleased to find a great english shorea wood bench and bought it, I love it and it's made so well that I ordered the cocktail table to match, they are great and comfortable and I even found a doormat to add to it...I sealed them all with tung oil on a rag and made a beautiful place to hang out...for what I would have spent on teak I could have built an addition but with this fantastic line of furniture I bought everything and had enough left to order a nice birdbath too!! andflowers and tikitorches...you get the idea. As always you can't go wrong with Amazon.com they deal with great companies and if there's ever a problem it's fixed ASAP. You'll love this line of furniture!!!

Gotta Love it!!
This has to be my favorite grill, and I've owned (and asssembled) many different types of grills.It blows away the lightweight competition such as Charbroil and Kenmore.So versatile, it could substitute for your indoor kitchen.This winter, I shoveled a path to the grill so we could have that WEBER feeling at least a few times a week. I enjoy the sideburner in the summer for steaming corn and other veggies.This will be the last grill I own!! The gorgeous blue lid really complements the decor around the pool, so it's aesthetic as well as utilitarian!

While mowing the lawn may never be considered a recreational activity, this rear bag mower from Black & Decker makes the chore as close to fun as it will ever get. With its 24-volt battery, which delivers 5-horsepower gas equivalent at peak torque, this cordless electric mower represents the top of Black & Decker's line of lawn mowing products. During our field tests, this orange powerhouse stood out above other mowers for ease of use and performance. Its versatile operation allowed us to mulch, bag, or expel the debris from its 19-inch cutting path. Switching between the three methods was as easy as removing the catch bag and the mulch plug--easily performed tasks when the mower is not running.

The most obvious difference between the new generation of electric mowers and the heavier gas-powered mowers of yore is the start-up. The ease with which this mower starts is almost stupefying. Simply pull and hold the thin handle lever, then pull the ignition lever, and presto!--the engine is running. To minimize safety risks to young children, a removable safety key must be inserted prior to starting the mower.

Once started, this mower runs like a dream and is much quieter than older gas-powered models. In addition to the lack of noise, vibrations were also dampened by the cushioned handgrips, a feature that makes mowing a much more comfortable experience. Another innovation is the method by which the mower is raised and lowered. Where once it was necessary to adjust each wheel individually, the height of the mowing platform is now controlled by a single squeeze of a single lever, which allows for seven positions from 1-1/2 to 3-1/2 inches. While this mower is much lighter than a gas mower, we did find that this Black & Decker cordless model, weighing in at 76 pounds, is heavier than its corded relatives.

The only disadvantage this machine seems to have is in the power department. While there were no serious problems during our field test, it was necessary to slow down or go back over thicker sections of grass in order to make a completely clean cut. This cordless model also requires a substantial charging time when first out of the box: the manufacturer suggests at least a 16-hour period initially in order to get peak performance and maximum run time. According to Black & Decker, the battery will be 70% energized with four hours of charging. When fully juiced, this mower can be expected to cut between 1/2 and 1/3 of an acre per charge. Though the charge is one aspect that needs to be considered when deciding whether to purchase a corded or a rechargeable mower, we found the added maneuverability of the cordless over the corded model far outweighs the inconvenience of charge times.
