Editorial Review

While Blink-182's pop-punk has given more than its share of entertaining moments over their career, "sonic experimentation" is hardly what you'd expect from their sixth studio album. Within their guitar-bass-drums template, however, they offer moments of playfulness and lyricism that stretch their definition of sound. The tempo changes and uses of (relative) silence in "Violence" and "Stockholm Syndrome" borrow post-punk conventions, and lend a new feel to the band's trademark cranked-upness. (The use of treated piano on the latter song also suggests that they’ve bent an ear to a few psychedelic-pop classics in their time.) As with 2001's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, a theme of loneliness emerges upon the first couple of listens, but this time it feels as if Blink wants to connect it to something larger than before. Growth from the guys who once jokingly celebrated man-on-dog intercourse? Yeah. And best of all, it's worth hearing. --Rickey Wright ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Look, stop flaming.
I guess you could say that I was a "13 year old girl teenybopper", since I am 13, and I am a girl.

But I love this album. And I'm NOT your regular teenybopper. I listen the Casualties,Children of Bodom, Nofx, Metallica, Rancid, etc. Basically, most death/power/heavy/tech/thrash/etc metal (maybe some nu-metal), ALL types of punk, adult alternative, emo, post-pop, post-punk, ska, and hell, even some pop, classical, rap, and 1000000 other things that I couldn't list.

So, don't say that I have to listen to XXXX and I'll start hating this. I HAVE listened to all the other punk you call true punk. I HAVE listened to all the metal, all the "oldies", etc. It's good, but Blink is good too. It's NOT punk, and I'll never call it punk. It's POP-punk. Modern punk with pop influences. Those 2 genres, punk and pop-punk, are very different creatures. Pop-punk is modern punk with pop influences.

I think Blink is the creator of modern pop-punk. And they remain one of the best. And most of their songs are good.

As with any genre, lot of pop-punk artists, like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan, aren't very good. But since I beleive NO album deserves 1 star (just think about it), I'd give those 2. And some pop-punk artists are just as good if not better than Blink, like Fall Out Boy. Both FOB and Blink have original-sounding voices, and they put some good thought into their songs. They've both got some hits and misses, as well.

For the most part, their albums are fun, the instruments are played fairly well, and there's some guitar solo work.

But I will say that some Blink songs annoy me. ALOT. (like Asthenia).

Bashing this band won't make you look cool. So stop.

And this album doesn't deserve 5 stars either. 5 stars means NO flaws, NO bad songs. And this does have some misses. More than I'd like. Which is why it deserves 3 stars.

In fact, the only album I'd give 5 stars would be The Mars Volta's Deloused in the Comatorium. Many albums, like Franz Ferdinand's debut album, Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP, Finntroll's Nattfodd, and the Killers self-titled album come extremely close to the 5 star mark but don't make it, so 3 stars is decent.

5-0 out of 5 stars Their best album since Dude Ranch
First off before crucifying them for their lyrics or use of the English language you should take a step back and read your own review. It was loaded with grammatical errors that would make any third grade teacher squirm. This album was definitely a step up instrumentally from the last couple albums. The production on it is tight and it is very listenable.Second, labels are lame.Blink never claimed to be punk rock, they just played the music they enjoyed. They never forced it down anyone's throats. The fact that they sold millions of records is great, what band wouldn't want to get their music out to as many people as possible. That is the whole point. They chose to make music a career and therefore did the best they could at their job, they were rewarded with countless fans and fat pocket books, so what. Are you telling me if you were an auto mechanic and somebody offered you a $100 for an oil change you would say "no, i'm punk rock, just give me $10"? I would most definitely recommend this one and the first two albums.

5-0 out of 5 stars why you haten!
all you blink haters who keep talking about blink182 just shut up! if you don't like them then don't listen. you don't have to complain about it! Anyway i think this album is the best it rocks. Like the song I miss you great song! which brings me to the point when tom says yead it still means head!it's just a word. you don't have to write a whole book about it!well this is there best cd yet!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars motivational, but little value
In the book there is nothing you can't figure out yourself in no time, if you want to do real estate business. If one needs learn anything from this book, he is unlikely to be success in real estate business (or any business for that matter).

5-0 out of 5 stars Investing Works
Ive been a Carleton Sheets disciple for 7 years, have appeared on his commercials, and am on his recent training videos. I own over 70 rental units including apartments, houses, duplexes, and commercial buildings. I met Mike Summey in Chicago a couple of years ago at a Carlton Sheets photo shoot. Mike and I hung out late into the nite night and talked about real estate. I read his book and definitely picked up some ideas from it. I want to learn new things all the time. I had a million dollar net worth before I was 30 and Mike's book is definitely a great book for the starter investor. Quit thinking about getting righ and GO DO IT!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars OK ok ok ok
This book was ok, some good points ok, the part I do not agree with is having a property manager so you can run out and find more deals. Really I have experence with bad property managers what a joke. This book should show you the most key important point is to make money managing your own Real Estate ok, not paying some Property Company to keep eating your profits, how to buy and manage your own Real Estate is the true key to make you Wealthy in your spare time. This is book I thought is for the small time investor and seems written for some guy wanting to buy 100 single home units. I have a feeling there is a better book out there to explain what this book has passed bye. If someone out there can tell me please do. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars if I could
I love this game it has some tight elements to it yknow, it is different to the others in the series well cause there is some new things; like being able to get off your board, run, climb and walk around the levels.

There is the usual characters with the exception of Caballero and Steamer and the addition of Arto saari and Paul Rodriguez who are new. I'll just tell you who there is:Hawk, Burnquist, campbell, mullen, rowley, rodrigiuez, saari, thomas, reynolds, muska, bam & Ironman and some other unlockables.

The story mode is easy even on hard. It starts in NJ your Hometown where you learn basic stuff and get to create a skater for the mode. You have a friend called Eric who you become enemies with later. You run from the dealers who capture Eric and go to the next level Manhattan in NYC where you have to get sponsored then to Tampa where you do the Tampa AM if you and when you win you go to Diego to meet the team leader a fat guy called Todd, no matter what team you pick it don't make no difference after that you go to Hawaai where you do a crazy stunt off the hotle top. Then to Vancouver for Slam City jam when you win off to Moscow for some reason. Then after you go back to NJ where you face off with Eric (your rival now) and have to do his line which is mega hard, oh and before that you have to make a team of pros and make a video. You have finished.

The levels now

new Jersey:Not much to skate except the Train station and the pool 3/5
Manhattan: great level with many tight spots to skate 5/5
tampa: some good spots but not many 4/5
san diego; not much in this level 2/5
Hawaai: Good for jumping off the hotel and doing mad tricks
Vancouver: My Favorite level for some reason it really good 5/5
Slam City jam: A big skate park good 4/5
Moscow: soem good spots 3.5/5#
Bonus level: Hotter than hell: a kiss concert 1.5/5-it is a boring level

Thats the game- but check da tricks and movies. Buy if ya liek skate games

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great game, but lacks things
I like that you can do your own career, but you can't choose yes or no, good or evil! It is pretty cool that you can create a park, but the create a trick is not so good. The career is good, but disapointingly short. Yet I do recommend you get this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars An awesome skate adventure
The coolest skating game yet,you start playing and stop until you beat some levels.Superb,fantastic,great,cool,awesome. ... Read more

Editorial Review

A delightful undersea world unfolds in Pixar's animated adventure Finding Nemo. When his son Nemo is captured by a scuba-diver, a nervous-nellie clownfish named Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) sets off into the vast--and astonishingly detailed--ocean to find him. Along the way he hooks up with a scatterbrained blue tang fish named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), who's both helpful and a hindrance, sometimes at the same time. Faced with sharks, deep-sea anglers, fields of poisonous jellyfish, sea turtles, pelicans, and much more, Marlin rises above his neuroses in this wonderfully funny and nonstop thrill ride--rarely does more than 10minutes pass without a sequence destined to become a theme park attraction. Pixar continues its run of impeccable artistic and economic success (their movies include Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, and Monsters, Inc). Also featuring the voices of Willem Dafoe, Geoffrey Rush, and Allison Janney. --Bret Fetzer ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A MOVIE WORTH SEA-ING
This is a great animated movie. It looks amazing in HD!
You'll want to add this one to your dvd collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars good.very good.
It's about one parent's quest to find his child against all (well most) odds.Well, the father gets a lot of help from all sorts of animals. And there's a lot of luck involved.

The nice thing is that Nemo is a fish with a disability, and it's always nice to have characters whose lives are not perfect that nevertheless can find happiness and love.

I like the idealism, and the portrayal of success of characters whoare not perfect.I think the coincidences and luck are outrageous, but during the movie my suspension of disbelief managed to stay intact.

I think it's a lot healthier than a lot of other stuff that threaten to stick themselves in childrens' heads.

2-0 out of 5 stars What's the big deal?
While Finding Nemo is visually stunning, it really wasn't all that good. In fact, the only good part for me was when the little girl walks in and the Psycho theme plays. If you want to see an outstanding Disney/Pixar film, see The Incredibles, it was actually entertaining. I know my view doesn't count for much, seeing as how everyone else absolutly loves this movie, just keep in mind, it really isn't all it's cracked up to be. ... Read more
