When not in use, it tucks completely out of the way. Though heavy, this chair is easy enough to move, thanks to the stout wooden dowel at the foot and the rubber-treaded wooden wheels. These table and chairs are gorgeous!
I've priced ones that look just like these and they price out as high as $5000 for a table and 4 chairs.These were one of the smartest buys I think I've ever made in my life.I did a little research on teak oil and I bought Briwax (from their website).We are very happy with the result.

Easy assembly great chair!
Received this chair 3 days after i ordered it, awsome! quality is 100%, assembly was a breeze, and the finished product looks like a $350 teak chair. The only problem, wish the seat was a bit longer, but that is not a big problem, great buy at an amazing price for what you get, highly recommend. make sure you order the matching cushion for comfort!

Very Good Chair, Reasonable Price
This chair goes together effortlessly.Fit and finish was perfect.I think it took about ten minutes to assemble.Add another ten minutes to put teak oil on it (to preserve the natural wood color) and that's about it.

Beautiful!
Oxford Gardens high quality product is worth a few extra dollars. This furniture is made from Vietnamese hardwood and stands up to weather and insects. Low cost pine and cedar furniture is much much lighter and less dense and needs oil and maintanance to last. I've also found Oxford Gardens customer service to be outstanding. It's a shame the prior reviewer didn't just call to have her chairs replaced or fixed.

WOW..now that is sturdy!
These chairs, I bought 4, have the wieght that Adirondack Chairs SHOULD have! They are very heavy - so I am sure they will not ever blow away. The wood has a wonderful grain and smooth finish...best to teak oil them and then they'll look like a million bucks for a LONG time.The construction is tight and sturdy with durable bolts.... the assembly is a bit of a pain in the neck (it always is) BUT you will have them for a life so well worth the effort considering the quality and great price. Good sitting and proportion.

I couldn't believe how easy it is to assemble this chair.All the pre-drill holes lined up nicely and the 14 screws goes in easily.I was able to assemble the entire chair in less than 5 minutes.Even faster than assembling a bookshelf.Read more

A little rough around the edges
All in all, you are getting what you pay for. The furniture is solid enough, but within a month, we are experiencing some big fissures developing in the wood. Nothing that will cause structural integrity issues, but bad enough that it catches your eye. Then again, we are paying about a third less than true teak stuff.

parts don't line up
I bought this chair and the 48" bench. The bench assembled easily and all the parts lined up. Unfortunately, the chair did not. The parts did not line up. Since the dowel rods used to assemble the chair do not come out easily, I was stuck. Fortunately, with a cushion on the chair it's hardly noticeable. If you buy this chair, I would suggest placing the pieces together to make sure they line up. Something I should've done. Once you start assembling, you can't start over. I would also suggest getting a cushion for the back. This chair is uncomfortable if you sit in it for more than 20 minutes.

We ordered 4 of these chairs, and two had legs that were uneven!!!When we applied the recommended teak oil on the first chair, we found about twenty areas on the seat and one on the back where wood putty had been applied.The stain made these spots JUMP out at you--and now that they are put together, it is too late to return.The only saving grace is that we bought cushions to cover the seat but that won't help the back.I would never purchase anything this large that is difficult to return again!!What a major disappointment. ...
