Full size tank fits!
I love this grill!It will always have sentimental value as I bought it on 9/11/00...it continues to work like a champ.My favorite feature is you can actually fit a full size propane tank under it as well as the small one provided to you; so, no frequeunt trips to fill up if you grill alot.

You can't beat this grill
My father spent $3000+ on a new stainless grill that he slaves to keep clean.I bought a Caddie with the idea that I could get a new one every year for the next 25 years to match his expense.Turns out our first Caddie lasted ~7 years.Lid dents, rust, heavy grease build up, etc.For $139 you can't beat this grill and my new one came with thermostat and the larger (4.5 gal) tank.I transferred the side shelves (option) over from my original.If you like lid cooking you will love this affordable high quality Q. I usually sear on high heat then turn down gas to low an put on lid - result is nothing short of excellent.

Boo - You can get better for Less $$
We had one of these - the interior is lined with some fabric which collects dust and bugs.When I bought another Patio Caddie I opted to also get The Char-Broil 4714 Heavy Duty Water Smoker Cover which fits The Caddie just fine and is only $10.It has an elastic band which you may or may not like - I snipped mine and it now falls easily with no annoying fabric lining to boot!

Not made for outdoors
This cover will rot within a year or two outside in the sun.

This is the newest Grill 2 Go model (May 2006).It is the "Advantage" model - 06401206.Bought this model instead of the Weber Q 200/220 portables based on a plethora of features G2G offers right out of the box, and it now has open flame grilling - a feature absent in the original G2G which will give food a grilled taste.The G2G Advantage model includes a portable rolling cart, the option for table top use (no cart), a hinged griddle plate that allows for 50/50 griddle/open flame use or 100% open flame grilling, Dupont teflon non-stick griddle, porcelain coated grill grates (dishwasher safe), a grill-based LED light for p.m. grilling (detachable for flashlight use), integrated paper towel and trashbag mounts (grocery store plastic bag), and a car window flag mounting point for display of your patriotic spirit or favorite team.The installation was easy, 95% of parts had good fit and finish (had to whittle two plastic control knobs with a pocket knife to fit properly on brass stems).Interestingly, there was no instructions on how to install the grease tray, but it is easy to figure out without formal instructions, and there is a cheesy little wire thingy on the back for holding a match to light the grill through a rear lighting portal (seems like it is included for liability protection).I plan to cut this off and use a long Bic lighter wand instead - if necessary.The grill lit on the first try with a portable 14.1 oz propane canister using the auto light knob on the front control panel - allowing open flame grilling over its large surface area or 1/2 griddle cooking.The folks at Thermos have significantly upgraded the G2G and at under $200 (My purchase price was $179) it is a great value in comparison to the Weber Q 200 series which runs over $275 when you factor in the cost of the optional cart that is not included with the Q200/220.Also, you can order an optional hose for the G2G (under $20) that will allow you to use a standard 20# tank which will save you money over the 1# cans.

just got this in the mail for my char-broil grill, so at this point i cant speak for how it hold up over time.nonetheless, this appears to be an exceptionally sturdy and well-made product.nice, thick, and heavy, with two layers - a canvas like exterior and a black lining.for the price, i cant imagine there is a better grill cover on the market.

Hot little thing!
We got this for my Dad for Father's Day.I was not there for assembly, but heard that it went well.It is so much nicer looking in person than in the ad pix.A very nice little unit.Dad did say that he might want to drill some holes in the bottom to get a better draft going.But, all in all, we are thrilled with this product.

When I first saw this, I'd thought this is the greatest thing. Instead of spending a few dollars each time for a small propane tank that last just a couple of hours, I'd would be able to conect this hose to a large tank and it would last me the whole summer. greatest thing since sliced bread
this is the best charcoal starter we have ever used.the last one purchased is still working but is over ten years old and is used regularly every summer.I just purchased a new one as a back-up, but may not need it for a long time.Very reliable and very easy and safe to use.

A little disappointed
I was a little disappointed in the quality of this product and the fact that it had no grate or tools to handle hot wood or to remove the screen.Shortly after purchasing this, I saw comparable models at the local lumber yard that had all these things and were priced $20.00 less than this one.Also, the opening in the bottow which is suppose to drain rain water doesn't.Apparently the top surface of this is higher than the bottom so allows a certain amount of water to remain.The bowl has to be turned on it's side to drain.

We love this fire bowl.We have two locations on our property where we like to have a fire and this is so easy to move around the yard .We had a fixed fireplace, but I hated how it looked.It was always full of ashes since it was such a chore to scoop them up into a bucket and dump them.With the fire bowl, when the ashes (and fire bowl of course) are cold, you just lift the copper bowl off the base, and carry it to where you want to dump the ashes (great for the vegetable garden), so the fire bowl always looks neat.It was gorgeous the first time we used it, with all that gleaming copper, but obviously it doesn't stay that way.It burns very hot and we've cleaned up the yard of all the fallen trees and brush.The screen top is great because you can even use it on breezy days since the screen keeps anything from blowing away.It would be nice if it came with something to lift off the hot screen, but we use a wooden stick with a little bend on the end to lift it, not too classy, but it works.Love it and would buy another one if and when this one needs to be replaced. ... I purchased this, based upon a review that stated it fit a 65 inch grill. Well, as the other customer said, it fits a 45 inch grill! Why Amazon leaves an incorrect review on the product is beyond me! THIS WILL NOT FIT ANYTHING LARGER THAN 45 INCHES....regardless of what the review says!

Great the first two times but after that...
I loved this smoker the first two times I used it but after the third it stopped working as well and by the fifth it didn't work at all.After examining all the parts, I noticed that the thermostat had burned up around the contact points.It was under warranty so they sent me a new thermostat but I was forced to pay the shipping!I used it once and examined the new thermostat and it had already started to burn around one contact point after just one use.I think I'll go back to my charcoal grill.

Great product, but add a metal stem thermometer for best results....
I've used my smoker for 7 years now and I have nothing but great things to say about it. One recomendation is to drill a small hole in the top and insert a metal stem thermometer (about $7) for accurate monitoring of the smoking. You'll get the best results when you can hold the temps at the desired levels. It also comes in handy for checking internal temps of the meat.
Finally Figured it out
Keeping this smoker up to temperature had been a chore until I invested in a heavy duty 25 foot extension cord. I bought a 12 gage15 amp 25 foot chord and I'm now actually using the thermostat to back off the temperature.

rotisserie
First motor did not work, returned the entire item.the second item arrived and the motor sounds so bad , I went out and got an after market motor to use. Everything else is fine the motor is really poor!

Motor burned out immediately
I found this to be pretty easy to put together, and was pleased with how it was cooking a 4 lb. roast (it is supposed to handle up to 10 lbs.) However within a half hour of cooking the motor burned out -- the unit was still getting power, but wouldn't turn. I am waiting for my replacement -- I will give one more chance -- so hopefully that one will fare better.

Poor performer
I waited 2 weeks for this to come to Lowes after ordering it, and the first time I used it, it turned a 5lb pork tenderloin for 2 hours before it began to stop turning.I was busy doing something while the meat was turning, and when I looked at it, it wasn't turning.A most excellent product.For what I don't know.I would nudge the handle and it turned for a few times, then stopped again.I did this numerous times.Not a good experience!

Better than expected
When I ordered this grill I had just had a bad experience trying to purchase a similar one on line at Home Depot.When I found this on Amazon I was delighted.I was told it would arrive on the 8th and it arrived on the 3rd.It was all and more than I had expected and it works GREAT.Thanks Amazon again for being the best buy and the best service.

It's ok.
This bbq is adequate for some grilling needs. Flaming food is more likely the result of inadequate grilling knowledge rather than the fault of the grill. Indeed, were I to choose one shortcoming of this grill it would be that it does not get hot enough. For example, when cooking chicken thighs I had to turn the gas all the way past high to the ignition setting simply to get the bbq sauce to crisp properly. The unit itself is cheaply built with the lowest quality materials, but that is to be expected nowadays on items produced abroad in developing countries with poorly trained and paid workers; by companies looking to cut every conceivable corner. Assembly is quite simple and the guide book avoids the possibilty of confusing instructions by simply doing away with words almost entirely; relying instead on pictographic instructions. If you are looking for a serious grill this is certainly not the grill for you, but if you need a temporary grill which might last for two years, or are an occasional barbequer of such simple fare as chicken, burgers, and sausages then this unit will suffice.

Not functional as is.
I purchased this smoker a year ago, to start cooking out some ribs for a family gathering. I had a long time ago the electric version of this cooker, and since getting into charcoal with my grill -- thought that I might as well go Charcoal with the smoker as well (Charcoal + Wood is a heck of a lot of fun for me).

I was really impressed on how fast the order was received. The smoker was in excellent condition. The only negative thing I experienced was that this was a 2002 model and on the Char-Broil website, I could no longer select information for the model. But I'm happy with the unit and have been enjoying the smoked meats.

This is my first smoker. I purchased before reading the reviews. I thought I was going to have problems. I assembled it according to directions and started using it. I have had it for 2 months and have used it at least twice a week. It works great. The only thing is if you are doing something large that takes awhile you will have to keep an eye on the charcoal.
