That's a magnificent grill
It's very easy to compose this product. The material parts of this grill is very durable. Using this grill, it is very reliable and I can plan my cooking time of BBQ and else very accurately. I feel like it makes me improve my cooking skills like Chef's in the five star restaurants.
Don't Buy Char-Broil Products
I've had the regulator assembly on my Char-Broil grill fail twice.The company refuses to warrant this part of the product.The regulator is the "heart" of the grill.The regulator, hoses and valves that go from the cannister to the burners is all one assembly.They charged me over $100 to replace it the first time and it failed again within 9 months.Now, they have taken all their support telephone numbers off line.If you buy one of their products, there is no way to contact a human being.Their web site will not let you send an email, nor will it reveal a telephone number.This company is a total rip off.

For $400 it should work better
For the money, this grill should be sturdier and the flames should be even. I find the knobs to be somewhat rickety. My biggest complaint is the uneven burners. Mine do not burn as high in the front as the rear. In fact, you can get rare in the front and well done in the rear. Charbroil mentions this on their website as normal, but if you ask me it is a manufacturing defect and undesireable. Great but small problem
We love the size of this grill. There are only 2 of us and when we have a couple of people over, it is still adequate. Our problem was the ignition button never working. We now have a replacement to be installed, but one of the long candle lighters works just fine to ignite the flame. ... Read more

Great affordable grill
I have had this grill for over a year now and it still works as good as new.In the past, other grills have not lasted this well for me.The grill itself is still easy to clean, and the ceramic burner heats evenly.Best of all, I still do not have problems using the starter, which is usually the first thing to go on a grill.
good grill
I have had an older older of this grill for about 4 years now and I can tell you this about it, this thing is incredibly sturdy.It has survived 2 moves across the world (we're in the military), constant use.I would have loved to have the spice rack that they now offer, but it had decent ebough counter space to hold most of my BBQ needs.Sadly now I'm going to have to replace it.The racks are rusting A LOT is startign to fall apart.One problem I had was the automatic starter connection on teh burner burned off after the first year.Other than that it has definately fulfilled our needs.

Great grill, great price
I was replacing a banged up beaten up, unloved grill.This grill is fantastic!It is quite a hefty grill considering its not one of those fancy stainless grills.I'd estimate it at over 80lbs though the fedex guy who delivered it said it was 150 (I dont think so, I'm a female and I could push the box along my patio with relative ease).Upon removing this grill from the box (thats a LOT of pieces!) and finding the instructions I found this grill not too terribly difficult to assemble.The instructions could have been a LOT better, but they're followable (especially after dismantling the grill a few times after figuring out I put some pieces on upside down).I was a little concerned with some of the plastic screws this grill uses to hold it together.Time will tell if these can hold up.I had a few remaining nuts and bolts but after a call to charbroil's customer service, I was assured these were just extra pieces in case something were to mess up.I like that because I am not very handy.

Great, but better prices not @ Amazon
This is a wonderful powerful, and sturdy grill. It is great for smoking because of the tall lid, and ease of use with misquite. The themometer is accurate and comes in handy for telling you when the grill is ready. Thermos makes this same model (its the Thermos QuickSet EvenFlame 40,000 BTU grill, except it is discontinued, so Char Broil took over. Exact same design, different logo. I got the Thermos discontinued model at Target (not online, but at the store) for 150. That's almost 100 dollars cheaper. Grill ok service stinks!
I bought one of these about 2 months ago. It worked great for about 3 weeks then I started having problems with low flame. After going through the trouble shooting in the manual to no avail I called the phone service for help. The person I spoke with was an idiot and was not much help other than ordering me a new valve/regulator assembly. Unfortunately they do not send any kind of directions for replacing this part. I had to take the grill half apart to replace this part with absolutely no guidance from char-broil. For someone who is not mechanically inclined this might have been a nightmare.
FYI
I saw several comments about rust and I received a tip that I would like to pass along...Pricey stainless items more than likely use a "304" grade of stainless steel which is higher quality than "430" stainless, which is also more prone to corrosion and rust.
Well built, great quality, great looks, great food
I have owned this grill for a few months and am one very satisfied customer. It was easy to assemble; we were eatingvenison burgers within two hours of starting the project. It cooks very evenly and gets to a remarkable 600 degrees F for quick searing. The built-in thermometer is accurate and easy to use and the flame and temperature are easy to control. Grill Envy-Fire and Ice Grill where are you?
I've searched the web and only found this grill on three sites, besides Amazon,the manufacture and a well known auction site. I'm anxious to make a purchase for an upcoming camping trip so finally after calling Thermos, I was informed the grill has been discontinued.The customer service person I spoke with was uninformed about a new model to be available in August. I'm still in disbelief as I don't understand why a grill that's been rated and graded in the top 10 in the portable category is no longer available.If you have any ideas, please let us know.

Becomes Unportable
After 3 uses, this grill no longer can be lowered. You push it down: it pops up, stays up.
