Tent gets a 5 / Rain fly gets a 1
Great tent - see other reviews.Rain fly shock poles are too thin and snapped within 3 days of the tent being set up.I did not overstress them.The rain fly was in place and working perfectly, but within 2 days the poles on the back side of the rainfly snapped and a day later the ones over the front door snapped.I was not even in or near the tent when it occurred.The poles are much thinner than the shock corded poles for the tent itself.Coleman does not offer replacement poles for the rain fly on their website.

So roomy and sturdy at the same time!
This tent is fantastic for weekend camping!!!It is roomy, airy, and yet still sturdy enough for the mountains.The rain flap is perfect to detach on a clear and starry night, but does it's job well when necessary.Definitely a plus to have for a short weekend recreational trip!!

Great tent at a great price!!!!
I bought this tent for nice weather camping in Arizona.It is wonderful!Looking for something sturdy and good, but for normal outings.This is perfect.It has a lot of ventilation which is wonderful for warmer weather.May not work as well in cold weather though for that fact.The skylights are just vented, though completly covered once the fly is put up.My favorite feature??They call it a Cool Port, I call it a doggie door!It's a small door in the back of the tent, my dog (Jack Russell Terrier) was convinced it was designed just for him!It's screened as well, so perfect to keep the screen closed so you can see out and allow extra air at body level while sleeping, but perfect size for a small dog to go in and out.He used it non stop.It was hysterical.People were even commenting on our tent with a 'doggie door'.Other great features included 3 pouches for storing as well as a mesh net at the top.. maybe to hold a light?The doormat at the front is also wonderful to help in keeping the inside clean. Rust on an outdoor product
I was truly impressed by the taut seating, the back support, the stability as they sit on the lawn-Until yesterday morning when I saw that everyone of the fastener heads is rusted.I e-mailed Coleman and await a reply but I'd discarded the boxes and the shipping papers.Why?Because of total faith in Coleman products based on past experience and reputation.This is an item intended for outdoor use in other that desert conditions I presume and it has rusted within two weeks. Yikes.

Absolutely The BEST!!
We have had one of these chairs for over 10 years ... and it's still going strong!!That's the main reason we decided to get more.Just bought 3 more and they are WONDERFUL!!Very strong, yet light-weight.They fold up nicely, are very comfortable and are sturdy enough for myself and a couple of our friends, none of us members of the "skinny-minny" club.We've tried other chairs at our campsite that cost slightly less than these, but they are not nearly as sturdy and comfortable as these.I WAS disappointed that they are now 'Made in China', but I must say the quality still seems to be there (compared to our "old" one). Overall, an excellent value!!

Avoid!
Just bought these a few weeks ago (12 stakes total - 3 sets) for a trip to Joshua Tree, CA.Just returned, in the semi-hard desert sand ALL of them started bending when tapped in (using rubber mallet first, then hammer).8 of them bent 90 degrees at the head.Ended up using the smaller, standard stakes that came with the tent.Very disappointed, as the standard stakes with the plastic tops snap easily as well, but at least the metal parts remain straight and still usable. ... The SUV of lanterns: rugged looks, but not so fuel efficient
I've collected Coleman lanterns for several years now. I've used quite a few different propane lanterns, and bought this because it was a new design and looked like it could take some abuse.
The Brightest Lantern Yet!!
This is absolutely the best lantern.I first saw one on a Girl Scout Campout and had to have it. It made the dual fuel Coleman Lantern that I had look like a nightlight. It puts off a verybright light on the high setting and when 15 Girl Scouts ages 4 to 11 were trying to prepare a meal after dark it came in quite handy.I just put my lantern away....it was not needed. This lantern lit the entire area quite nicely.Now I have purchased one of my own and I am retiring the dual fuel Coleman Lantern that I have.

Love the Coleman Lantern :)
Over the summer, we had nearly a week without power in St. Louis. We had a couple of these lanterns and they were awesome! They really give off a lot of light. Mom is not able to get out of bed, and the remote control really worked well for her. I loved this so much, I am online now purchasing a couple for my grandma. :)
