Seasoning cast iron cookware the easy way--sort of... lots of steps.
Carbon steel like cast iron does need to be seasoned. But once it's done it's very non-stick.
No You Don't Clean With Soap & Water
I guess I should of gotten the stainless steel wok.It's really a lot of work to clean off the protective coating it comes with & then seasoning the carbon steel wok is really taking a long time.We haven't cooked with it yet.I just wanted to comment it's a real chore to clean and season this thing.You do NOT clean it with soap after it's seasoned, just hot water and a scratcher that has no soap and burn it dry.Just like a cast iron skillet.I'm sure after we get done we'll love it. ... I have always wanted a turkey fryer but they was to spendy and at this price I had to get it although I was a litte reluctant buying it off the internetthen I received it not only was I happy with it,I was also relieved that I didnt get ripped off with Another internet scam(Thats why I ordered through Amazon,so I would be safe from fraud)Anyway I havent yet fried my turkey but I know that they will taste great!!!!!!

Great for stew
I purchased one of these cookers at a grocery store for thankgiving.I didn't find out that amazon carried this brand until I went to the manufarturers website looking for the 10.5 quart fish cooker.I haven't deep fried a turkey and probably won't.My main use will be cooking brunswick stew and chili in large quantities for freezing and cooking fish and chicken wings.I'm considering getting a wok.

MMMM.... wings!
Works fine. Nothing fancy here. Comes with Eastman's Wing Sauce which a lot of people seem to love more than Hooter's sauce. Pot fit nicely into my turkey fryer stand so I can make a mess outside instead of inside. I found more of Eastman's wing sauce at my local Gander Mountain outdoors store. Maybe Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops carry the sauce too. FYI, found a nearly identical, off brand fryer at Menard's for $15 (w/o any sauce--big deal) after I paid 35 plus tax at Dick's Sporting Goods. ... Read more

Fabulous wok for outdoor cooking on the Big Kahuna burner
This wok came as part of a kit with our Big Kahuna outdoor burner.It is very thin and fairly lightweight, which turns out to be a good thing as it makes it easier to handle this huge wok while cleaning.Cooking in this wok is a breeze, the oil heats quickly and the food cooks beautifully.Clean up has been very easy and simple with just soap, water, and a sponge.Clean up only occasionally requires an SOS pad to remove some of the oil e.g. from carmelizing onions; foods do not stick to the wok.The large size makes it very easy to cook, with the only complaint being that it is a little hard to rinse in the kitchen sink due to the wide diameter.For that reason alone, it may be worth it to get the smaller 18" stainless steel wok.Other than that, we couldn't be happier with the 22" stainless steel wok and the Big Kahuna burner!Too bad they don't make a semi-circular drainage rack that fits this size wok..... ... Worth every dollar..crab pot!!
To make a long story short...originally from the east coast, I had missed the taste of steamed crabs..hadn't had crabs for over 15 years since residing now in Illinois...Brother came to visit from Flordia, he insisted on "live Maryland Blue crabs...I didn't own a crab pot, so I went on Amazon and the rest is history!!!! My brother took one look at the pot I ordered from Amazon and hollered from the kitchen...Hey Sis, boy this is a nice pot, where did you get it?...from Amazon I told him, I have to get me one, this pot is nice and much bigger than the one I own.The live crabs came FedX, the pot came FedX (although they offered "free delivery) I needed it quickly).This crab pot allows plenty room for layering and seasoning the crabs and the included rack didn't allow any of the crabs to touch the water...steamed perfectly!!!Thanks

Good stainless a bit thin
For the money this is a great pot.The stainless is high quality but a little thin.I don't mind because I won't use it that often and it's easy to clean.Much easier than aluminum.I priced a restuarant quality ss pot this size at a local supply house and it was twice as much.Great pot for a couple days a year use.

OK quality, but functional
Everything is top quality except the kettle itself. The stainless still is thin and dents easily. It's freakin' chinese made, so you get lesser quality. However, I couldn't find a cheaper pot of similar quality.Read more
