By combining a main unit that displays the indoor temperature(plus a clock and calendar) and the temperature from a remote, wirelesssensor that can be set up either indoors or outdoors up to 100 feetaway, this battery-operated, radio-wave set monitors conditions at twolocations simultaneously. (The main unit will handle up to threeadditional remote, wireless sensors, though those must be orderedseparately.) The large LCD display has three sections: one showing thetemperature at the remote sensor's location, another showing thetemperature at the main unit's location, and the third showingclock/calendar information. Minimum/maximum temperatures recorded bythe remote sensor for any given period can be recalled, and themeasuring period can be reset at any time. Dr. Friedricks Guppe Wireless Thermometer
I only today received this item so I have no long term experience to report.However, the description refers to the capability to use 3 transmitters but neither the data furnished with my purchase nor anything I have been able to locate gives me enough information to allow me to purchase another transmitter.

Infernal Beeping
If you live in a tropical climate than you are ok, but if you live where the temperature dropps below 40'F don't buy this product. The ice warning is a infernal high pitched beeping which sets off the glass break alarms on my security system. There is no stopping the beep. It is a "built in feature". You have to "destroy" the speeker to get it to stop. Don't get this product. I would suggest the other version that doesn't beep. Other than this it is a pretty accurate (sometimes off a little) but other than that it works well.

frustrating design
Neat idea, but frustrating design.When freeze alarm beeps you must press a certain button to stop it. When it sounds in middle of night it is difficult to find that specific button. Be nice if it had a "silent" mode. If you do press the wrong button, you have reset it--which is not a simple button click. You have to unscrew the back and reset the transmitter unit as well. REPLACEMENT
I like the rain gauge. My only disappointment is that I cannot find a replacement gauge. It has broken, but I would like to continue using it.I have tried stores around where I live, but no such luck. Does anyone now how to find them?

Shoddy rain gauge
This rain gauge was a disappointment all the way around. First, it arrived broken. Second, it was made of plastic when I had thought (judging by the photo) that it was wought iron. And third, it was marked in meters instead of inches. It was made in Germany and should have stayed there.

Plastic
The plastic rain container is good in a warm climate but feels rather delicate. The support rod is somewhat flimsy and doesn't appear to be durable. It is attractive but appears low quality for the $$. ... Read more
