I used the container for the first time today and found it very light and capable of holding the volume of what I guess is 30 gal.

Two versions - one better than other
I have the model with the harder plastic bottom...I love it!Can't imagine this soft bottom would hold up quite as well for the uses I put mine through.Mine is my constant companion whenever I am working in the garden and it is as tough as I am on it.If I were to improve anything on mine, it would be a few clips of some kind on the outside to hold the bag from sliding down around the edges sometimes. I am a 59 year old woman and have bought/tried soooo many other products...none as good as this one or the hard bottom (which I own).

I line it with a heavy duty trash can liner and fill it up with yard waste, etc. We used it at a large outdoor birthday party and it held all the party trash for very easy clean up. Replacement blades?
The ads all say the blade is replaceable. Try to find one ANYWHERE. I've been looking all over the internet and stores...I can't find a replacement blade for any Fiskars tools.

Best I've Used
I do a great deal of brush cutting while maintaining and building trails and have used many brands of loppers. None were in a class with these Fiskars. They cut large branches with amazing ease and are much lighter to carry than any other loppers I have used. I highly recommend them.

This is a great container for small trimming jobs.I use it almost everytime I do plant trimming in my patio.While I like my 30 gallon Kangaroom Container, I use this one more frequently given its handy size.I really like that they are both soft sided and fold flat as a pancakes.

Some other reviewers have complained that this tool is not good enough for certain jobs, but from their descriptions, it just goes to show that you need to use the right tool for the right job.For cutting wire or pruning boughs, one would not use these snips (though I would heartily recommend the Fiskars lopper for the latter).I am constantly reaching for these snips, however, when deadheading, pruning tender plants, and taking cuttings for propagation.I want something sharp, precise, and handy for those tasks, and secateurs or pruning shears would either be too cumbersome or would not have the cutting action required.Well worth having, in this gardener's opinion.

won't hold up to very much pressure
The first time I used these pruning snips I tried to cut a branch the size of pencil and the handle broke. They were really not worth fooling with so I throwed them in the garbage. If you buy any pruning snips be sure you get the heavy duty ones. The handles on these snips are plastic. Take my advice they're not worth what it costs to ship them.

Lightweight tool for light jobs
This snip tool is ok for very light jobs (e.g. flower arranging, small houseplants, etc.) It is just too flimsy for cutting wire, cardboard, or what I purchased it for- tennis racquet string. Not enough padding
I have used a pair of very similar kneepads for many years and love them. They look the same as these new ones but my old ones have the name "Bucket Boss" on them instead of "Fiskars." I was so excited to find these since I prefer this one strap design that allows me to get up and down and walk easily without removing them. Sad to say, while the design of these new ones is the same and they do stay on well, the padding is much thinner and I found that my knees hurt very quickly. I am disappointed because I really love the design. I guess I'll keep using my old battered ones until they completely fall apart and reserve these new ones for short stints only.

scissors that won't let you down.
The Fiskars 9637 garden shears are tops if you are looking for a pair of scissors that can take alot of abuse and still be sharp.I use mine in a flower shop where I can be cutting anything from woody stems to wire to the most delicate flowers and ribbon. The stainless steel blades stay clean even after alot of use.The handles fit perfectly in your hand(provided you are right-handed). [If you are left-handed the Fiskars 9474 are almost the same with the exception that the blades can be taken apart]. The serrations on the blades make cutting things much easier than smooth edged blades because the serrations hold the thing you are cutting where you want it. The overall size of these shears is just about perfect because they fit nicely in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. What this means is you can have them at hand when you need them. At the low price get a few pairs and give your friends each a pair-they will thank you

Better than sliced bread
I live in Florida and do much of the caretaking of outside stuff.I just got this pruning stik and love it!The blades can be rotated to many angles for up high and down low.The length of the stik is not adjustable, but you can operate the blades from 2 positions:one in about the middle of the shaft and the other from the end of the stik.I did a fair amount of high and low trimming in about an hour... that usually took me several hours!I love not having to stand on my head to trim the sago palms.

Easy to use and Versatile - I'm Impressed!
I admit that I had used an earlier version of this pruner before looking to buy one for myself, and liked it.The Pruning Stik has a couple more features and is even easier to use than the one I borrowed from a friend.
No more thorns in arms or face!
I have to cut fronds off pygmy date palms that have up to 3 inch needle-like thorns which can penetrate to the bone.I also trim Bougainvillea and roses that have sharp thorns.

Helping Hands
I ordered these pruners because my rhumatoid arthritis limits my hand strength.These pruners make cuts easier on my hands than my previous pruners.

Looks good, but Bad design of handle and blade
This pruner is really a bad product.The gap between two blades is too wide to cut anything.I get so frustrated with this tool, I never use it again.I have to make sure the handle rotate while I squeeze the handles at the same time in order to actully cut.If I don't pay attention to the rotation of the handle, it only breaks the branch but cannot make a clean cut.Please do yourself a favor, don't buy this pruner.

Great Axe
After buying the Fiskars standard 2.5 lb splitter and 2.25 lb. chopping axes I decided to buy the heavier 4.5 lb maul (Power Axe 7854) for the harder oak wood and I was not disappointed. I also got the Fiskars sharpening tool (10 dollars) and it works great with all of the Fiskars axes.
Light and brittle
I love this axe at first. It has great balance and fits beautifully in my hand. It is easy to swing and almost always goes where you want. But when it doesn't, it breaks. The supposedly unbreakable handle shatters like the plastic it is. I'm on my third in 2 years.

Incredibly lightweight
Don't be fooled by the light weight of this item--it's cutting power is amazing.It's an anvil lopper, as opposed to the more popular bypass type of lopper, but the anvil is a much more efficient cutting method.Anvil cutting method (regardless of brand) tends to damage what it is cutting, so the best use of this tool is to cut dead branches, or live ones that you don't care if they survive of not.This is the perfect tool for cutting back rose bushes in the fall.If your arms ever get sore from wielding heavy tools, this is the ideal lopper/pruner for you. I believe this item is made in Finland--home of the infamous Fiskars orange handled scissors.This is the perfect gift for any gardener.

Don't try on large branches
This unit works well for small branches. The light weight is appreciated, and the stainless blade is a useful upgrade as standard blades rust from the tree sap. But I used mine on some heavier branches, still within the recommended diameter range, and something slipped so that the blade no longer touches the anvil. The tool therefore is practically useless, as you do not get a clean cut. There is no way to adjust or fix this pruner when that happens. And the lifetime warranty is of dubious value, as you must send the tool back at your expense, plus keep and be able to find the original receipt. The first pair of shears I received weren't working properly, but I called the 800 number of the package and was immediately sent another pair--and they work great.I particularly like the long blade and the ability for the blade to swivel.

I got one of these axes for my dad for Christmas and it was worth every penny.He's getting older but he still has to split wood for his wood stove to heat his house, so I thought it would be a practical gift.He loves it and even I tried, on Christmas day and many times after that.If you split would and are tried of your handles breaking, dull blades, and blistered hands, get this axe.

This should really be called a hatchet. I bought one primarily to make kindling out of logs that had alread been split up. The pruner sheath belt clip easily gets disloged from my beltwhen I walk in heavy brush and brambles.Fortunately, I have noticed and retrieved it each time this has happened.Otherwise the design is good and functional.

Okay, but not great
I find the clip on this item is not too secure.The pouch is large, which is nice if you have large clippers.But mine are the same size as perhaps 95% of those on the market and they tend to fall out when kneeling in the garden.I purchased this item almost two years ago, and while it's still in great shape, I find I use a bucket caddy now to store my clippers with my other tools.
