TERRIBLE VENDOR
Ordered this as an x-mas gift. Received wrong hammock blue and white totally junky and it came 5 days after x-mas. No response from vendor after 2 e-mails having to file a claim with Amazon. Do not do business with these people - total headache

Beautiful and Functional
I have this hammock in another color, (navy, burgandy, and green), and I love it.It's beautiful.Very well made.Very comfortable too.I highly recommend Hatteras hammocks.They may cost a little more, however it's money well spent.

construction defeats purpose ofa hammock
hammocks, like waterbeds, are meant to give way where the body has protrusions(e.g.' shoulders, butt, elbows), molding to the body's shape, allowing for air to reach under the body in hot weather. making a sling of non aircirculating solid, unyielding fabric defeats these purposes. ... Read more

No hammock yet, but the stand is great!
I bought this stand because it was in my gold box for a good price (plus free shipping!), and I had intended to buy a hammock/swing anyhow. I cannot attest to how the stand performs with a hammock or swing, since I haven't gotten around to buying the swing yet, but the stand itself is great. I got it about a month and a half ago. The box it arrives in is quite large, as is the stand. However, the stand was very easy to put together. I did have some difficulty getting the last "button" to click into the stand, since you really have to put your weight into it, but otherwise, it was fairly self-explanatory. The swing is very strong (I could hang from it without any problem), and looks like it will last a long time. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I bought this stand with the single Hatteras seat. If you've the space for the stand, it's excellent. Good enough, in fact, that I am saving for a double seat. It's not the height that is an issue, it's the base. The four feet extend out considerably offering great stability, but they DO extend out. A stable stand
