Amazon had this grill to us within 3 days!It was to be a Father's Day present and definitely arrived in time.The only disappointments were that the unwrapped racks scared up the interior of the grill during delivery and(2)exterior utility racks were missing from the box. Ducane promptly mailed them to us.There were also a few nicks around the edge of the grill lid. The offer of a free cover for the grill during my purchase was a BIG plus!My husband is extremely delighted with the grill and it's performance! We would definitely recommend others to make this purchase! Great value for a superb grill!

Not Perfect But a Good Grill
Overall, the grill arrived timely in good condition.The instruction manual was not clear and sorting out the many pieces was not fun.One of the holes in the body of the grill was drilled with the incorrect spacing to attach the bracket.However, Ducane's customer service was great when I called with the problems, and they had offered to replace any missing or damaged parts.The Smoke-It tray is a bit small and watch out for the flare ups when the cover is closed.

I would NEVER order Ducane again!
Let me 1st say that Amazon delivered and then pick-up this item as agreed. The Ducane Bar-B-Que arrived in horid condition. The box looked like it was dropped from 10ft. The rotisserie rod was bent in a curve. There was paint dripping and bubbling on a one of the parts and the paint was competely chipped on the inside rim of the Bar-B-Que. For over $700 you would think that the parts would be inspected carefuly before packing and shipping.I would not recommend purchasing this item.

I was surprised--and pleased--to get this grill from Amazon.com.I had done some research on the web, and I knew what I wanted.Amazon had the best price and delivery was quick.The grill does come in a million pieces, though, and one of them had to be redrilled.One screw was missing, too.If you are pretty handy mechanically, this is only a minor irritation.If not...well, you be the judge.Once it's all assembled, this is a great grill at a great price. ... Difficult to assemble but worth the effort
This is an awesome grill - once assembled. Assembly is made difficult by the caged nuts that are found on the side panels. When screwing the fire box onto the base, a couple of the caged nuts came out of their housings. Once out, they are very difficult to pop back into place so be careful when attaching the fire box to the base unit. Make sure you have the screws lined up properly and this shouldn't be a problem.
Only the burners are stainless steel
I just installed my natural gas Ducane model 16008101 grille.It took me from 10AM to 4PM. The instructions weren't the greatest, but I managed.The 864 square inches of grille space equates to a 20" deep by 26" wide cooking surface, with two grille racks above, which aren't good for much. It's an aluminum body grille, with stainless steel burners, which should last a while. Be aware that the stainless steel base comes with a protective white peel off coating on it--when I first opened it, I thought that the grille base was white! Ducane has produced a Quality grill and it is MADE IN THE USA to boot!
After much research I ordered the Ducane 545 based on the excellent reviews of the grill, the excellent reviews of the customer support that comes along with it, the fact that this grill is MADE IN THE USA and also because it happened to hit the price point I was looking for. The grill showed up a couple days later than I expected, but not a big deal. The grill came in about a million pieces, but the clear directions made assembly a snap. All of the parts were in the box and everything fit beautifully.It took me about 2 hours to assemble the grill (about an hour of that time I spent removing the protective adhesive coating from the stainless steel panels). If you are fairly handy and don't mind assembling things this grill is for you, if you hate to assemble things and are not handy at all you should find someone to assemble it for you. I have grilled on this grill many times now and am very impressed with the evenness of the heat at all temperatures. I have not used the rotisserie yet (other than to fire up the element for a 20 minute burn in period) but plan to do so very soon. Bottom line: I love this grill and I think you will too.

PROBLEMS OUT OF THE BOX
I purchased this Ducane grill because of the past history of the company. I figured Weber buying out Ducane would even make this a bigger no-brainer (this Ducane is replacing and old Weber gas grill that was excellent) Right out of the box there were problems. Assembly is a bit of a challenge. The instructions are OK but could be in a little greater detail. Upon assembly I found a few of the parts (even though wrapped in bubble wrap) to have little nicks, or places where there was no paint. I figured a little touch-up paint will take care of that. Then while assembling the grill a couple of brackets just didn't match up correctly with the pre-drilled holes. I called Ducane. After explaining the problem the lady in customer service(very nice) got a hold of whoever knew about this, she told me that "they" knew about the problem and would send out the correct parts. Well whatever they sent is so wrong I think my only option is to return the grill. Also the rotissiore doesn't light like it should. For what I paid I should expect and get more.

Great Grill
My old propane grill finally gave out and I decided to get a Ducane 545 in Natural Gas, I ran my gas lines and electric lines outside to a nice point in my yard, then poured a concrete grill pad for it and i'd like to say the end result was well worth the effort. I tried to get this grill locally but only a couple of places here in Louisville carried Ducane and the 545 was special order, so with that I took advantage of Amazon's 1 cent shipping and decided to buy it. It was supposed to be shipped within 24 hours but it took almost a week to get it on it's way, but once arrived my wife started assembly, and she had it 95% assembled when I finally got on the scene. It was missing a couple of bolts in parts bag, and one bracket was not drilled correectly and did not fit correctly, but I re-drilled it and it works fine but I would say for $729.01 you would expect everything to be right but such as life.. Finally assembled and hooked up to the natural gas line it fired up right away and worked and still works flawlessly.. I have grilled and even used the rotisand it performed flawlessly, I am very pleased with my grill purchase
