OK for the money but...
...they really need to work on packaging!It came in a flimsy cardboard box and the stand was almost sagging out of the bottom.And, like others I read about in previous reviews of this product, the screw heads (plastic) were broken on my stand.The stand itself is sturdy and attractively designed.

Sturdy and holds the umbrella without any difficulty.Only problem is that 2 of the plastic bolt heads were broken during shipping.Probably caused by the weight of the product.

The stand arrives in a lightweight card board box. As a result the first stand I received was damaged.

A white rope pulley inside the umbrella raises and lowers it. Patio umbrella review (sort of)
The umbrella I ordered is fine, just what I had hoped it would be. However, I subsequently ordered an umbrella stand (after you prompted me to do so) and when it arrived the two tightening screwsin the shaft had been damaged in shipment. Each of the screws have plastic knobs and the knobs were broken off. As a result when one tightens them the broken plastic is sharp enough to cut skin. I have tried unsuccessfully to find replacements at a hardware store.Any suggestions? ... Read more

Beauty over comfort
This bench looks beautiful, especially after treatment with teak oil, and was easy to assemble (once we figured out we had a connector piece upside down). It could definitely be made more comfortable, however. The back is very straight, and is not very comfortable to sit on for very long. The same is true for the matching chair. This seems like a problem the designers could easily fix. It points out the drawbacks of ordering online, since it would be difficult to return these items, especially after assembly.

Great quality, but a little bigger ergonomically could help.
First I have two of these and they are very high quality in the wood and the build.So what could be better you ask?Well, they seem a bit shallow in the seat and too upright on the back support.What this means is that you can certainly take a nice enough sit for a short time, but if you plan on sitting a while you'll be squirming a bit. I want another one!!!!

These table and chairs are gorgeous!
I've priced ones that look just like these and they price out as high as $5000 for a table and 4 chairs.These were one of the smartest buys I think I've ever made in my life.I did a little research on teak oil and I bought Briwax (from their website).We are very happy with the result.

Easy assembly great chair!
Received this chair 3 days after i ordered it, awsome! quality is 100%, assembly was a breeze, and the finished product looks like a $350 teak chair. The only problem, wish the seat was a bit longer, but that is not a big problem, great buy at an amazing price for what you get, highly recommend. make sure you order the matching cushion for comfort!

This chair goes together effortlessly.Fit and finish was perfect.I think it took about ten minutes to assemble.Add another ten minutes to put teak oil on it (to preserve the natural wood color) and that's about it.

Beautiful!
Oxford Gardens high quality product is worth a few extra dollars. This furniture is made from Vietnamese hardwood and stands up to weather and insects. Low cost pine and cedar furniture is much much lighter and less dense and needs oil and maintanance to last. I've also found Oxford Gardens customer service to be outstanding. It's a shame the prior reviewer didn't just call to have her chairs replaced or fixed.

WOW..now that is sturdy!
These chairs, I bought 4, have the wieght that Adirondack Chairs SHOULD have! They are very heavy - so I am sure they will not ever blow away. The wood has a wonderful grain and smooth finish...best to teak oil them and then they'll look like a million bucks for a LONG time.The construction is tight and sturdy with durable bolts.... the assembly is a bit of a pain in the neck (it always is) BUT you will have them for a life so well worth the effort considering the quality and great price. Good sitting and proportion.

This Oxford Designs garden bench lives up to all of its promises. It was exceptionally well-packed - interior straps and styrofoam blocks made wiggling (and denting) imposible. Thecurved seat was fully assembled in the box, and the other pieces tapped together easily with wooden pegs and some out-of-sight wood screws. A little rough around the edges
All in all, you are getting what you pay for. The furniture is solid enough, but within a month, we are experiencing some big fissures developing in the wood. Nothing that will cause structural integrity issues, but bad enough that it catches your eye. Then again, we are paying about a third less than true teak stuff.

parts don't line up
I bought this chair and the 48" bench. The bench assembled easily and all the parts lined up. Unfortunately, the chair did not. The parts did not line up. Since the dowel rods used to assemble the chair do not come out easily, I was stuck. Fortunately, with a cushion on the chair it's hardly noticeable. If you buy this chair, I would suggest placing the pieces together to make sure they line up. Something I should've done. Once you start assembling, you can't start over. I would also suggest getting a cushion for the back. This chair is uncomfortable if you sit in it for more than 20 minutes.

Great Table reasonable price
