Great value, but all the varnish baked off.
Great value for the price, wonderfull and comfortable, but of course, all the varnish baked and flaked off of the wood before the summer ended. Then again, most benches I see around have the same problem.Still I wish the varnish had lasted a few years, at least. EXCELLANT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE

damaged shipping box and missing parts
The cardboard carton was torn in many places and had been re-taped in an attempt to keep the box together. In addition, an essential part was missing. The side brace that supports weight was missing. This was discovered just about the time the bench had been completely assembled. Not likely that it can be returned due to the condition of the carton and the weight of the bench.

I've been looking at circular tree benches for awhile...wooden, do-it-yourself, etc.I liked this one because it was smaller, which works for my small yard. The price on this one is great... but it's discontinued! Seating in a beautiful setting

BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!
This is the worst product I have purchased.I put it up for the first time and within hours the aluminium frame was in pieces.It is so flimsy! I expected more durability for a product meant to be for the outdoors! For the amount of money I paid it is a rip off. Defective Product
Unfortunately the bench we received was defective, in that the drill wholes of the seating area did not match up with the drill wholes of one of the legs. Therefore we were unable to assemble the bench. Currently we are trying to obtain refund not only on the bench, but also on shipping charges. A bit of a headache...

waste of time
I ordered this item on July 20th. As of today, November 19th I have still not received it. I finally gave up and cancelled the order. Perhaps they changed their mind about selling it at the advertised price?

Ordered July 2004...still not received as of November!!!
This is a follow-up to my previous review which I submitted on September 15, 2004. Yesterday I received yet another notice from Amazon that my order for this item was (yet again!) delayed. Now the revised "estimated" delivery date is December 9th-December 29th!!?? I ordered this bench July 21st, figuring if I ordered it in July I'd get it by Labor Day. Now it looks like I really will get it for Labor Day...of 2005...if I'm lucky. I will never again order any furniture item from Amazon. This is truly pathetic. If I didn't have my heart set, for going on six months now, on putting this hummingbird bench in my garden (which has hummingbirds in nice weather) I'd just cancel it and get something else. I'm extremely disappointed in Amazon'lack of service. It is a first in my experience with them.
Don't do it!!Don't order this bench!
I ordered two in May for Memorial Day.They arrived in June, and were packed so poorly that the FedEx driver apologized for the condition of the boxes.When I opened them, I found the parts were packed in thin cardboard and loose styrofoam.The wooden parts were gouged and scratched, and several metal parts were broken.I needed these benches for a memorial park, so I ordered another, and that one was just as bad.I was able to take parts from all three and make one that was presentable after I sanded and revarnished the wood and painted the metal parts.Amazon customer service said I could return the damaged benches, but how?The boxes were in no condition to return anything.I decided to contact the company to order replacement parts for the broken metal pieces, twice.It's been two months and I'm still waiting.These benches arrived as pieces of junk, and no one should order one.They're impossible to return, and there's no way to order parts. ... nice basic patio set
I got this set for $30 free shipping and humming bird feeder. I gave the feeder to my friends whom have a new house.The patio set was easy to assemble, but the plastic assembly wrench broke pretty easily. It took me about 20 minutes to get everything together and the set is pretty stable.200+lbs on the chairs and no problems.If you're over 200lbs, I wouldn't lean back on it.The table is pretty ridged and stable. It's good for small patio areas.

Good, once assembled
I bought this anyway after reading all the reports about what a piece of junk this is, but once I put it together I was quite happy!I don't feel like I am going to fall or break it when I sit on it, and my husband weighs about 225 and he sat on it just fine (maybe the others didn't put it together right???).All in all if you are expecting a heavey weight table and chairs this isn't for you, but if you want something pretty and repect that it is plastic I say great buy (I paid 29.99 and got free shipping and a hummingbird feeder)!

Buyer Beware - Save your $ on this junk
I purchased the set thinking it was a bargain. It is very poor quality PLASTIC furniture to say the least.To make a long story short soon after my son (very thin!!!) sat on it the bottom of the leg broke off. My son fell back toward my window thank god he was not hurt but it could have been a lot worse.My son could have been severely hurt as he fell back into the window. In hindsight I am sorry I never read any of the reviews before buying the set but the price seemed catch me. I love a bargain but this is one bargain YOU SHOULD PASS UP!!!!!!!!!! ... Read more
