Beautiful sound
I just got my windchime in the mail today and it sounds so wonderful.I went on the Woodstock website so I could listen to the sounds of the different chimes and decided on the GAS Gregorian Alto Chime.Amazon sent it right out and I am thrilled with my purchase.It sounds even better than it sounded on the website.I will probably buy another one for a different part of my yard.Truly beautiful music!!!

Well tuned, melodic chimes I hung outside my bedroom window. Even on the windiest of nights, I hear a clear well tuned mystical sound from these chimes! Well worth the small investment, four starsbecause I must care for the small wooden disc..it tends to weather quickly exposed to the elements.

Such a Big Sound from Such a Compact Set of Chimes
The Tudor Rose Chimes from Woodstock Percussion are a great addition to any outdoor decor.As soon as you unpack them from the box, you'll be impressed with their appearance - the wood is a beautifully natural cherry and the chimes themselves are a deep reddish bronze.Each piece of the set feels very sturdy as well.

Best chimes I've ever owned!
My wife and I purchased the Tenor Chime this spring. We now realize you get what you pay for. These chimes have the best sound we've ever heard. It doesn't take much of a breeze for them to play.

Problems with shipping and getting merchandise. I've had two orders in for windchimes, one since mid May other mid June. Still hasn't been delivered. Not quite as advertised...
Those who buy this 56" windchime should know that the longest chime is 32"... and so it doesn't have the deep tones that Gregorian baritone implies.Baritone what?My wife likes it, so I'll keep it, but I don't think it is truth in advertising.And it's probably my first and only purchase from this maker, because I have no idea what I am buying.

I was surprised by how big this windchime really is.If you are looking for a windchime with deeper tones to it, this is it.It sounds so beautiful.Word to the wise though, if you go to Woodstocks website and check some of the other online vendors through them, you can find it a lot cheaper!

Misleading
Girlfriend likes it but I think ad is misleading. Listed as 56 inches long but longest pipe is only 34 inches, why not make the string 10 feet long than you could say it is 120 inches. Also listed as hand tuned but fail to say this is done by someone in China. One other thing I am not sure but I do not think the pipes are anodized but are coated with something like a varnish. ... Beautiful Sound, Not at All Annoying
I mainly use windchimes as a feng shui cure, but have always had problems with the clanging sounds keeping me awake at night and distracting/annoying me during the day.Woodstock's Gregorian Soprano Chimes are the most pleasant and soft-sounding chimes I have ever heard, and are of a tone consistent with the soothing sounds of nature.They do not disturb at all, and I have to actually listen for them to realize that are singing because they are so gentle sounding.I have several outside my home and one in an interior hallway.Highly recommended.
Ear Delicious
This wind chime produces the clearest, most pure tones I have ever heard from a wind chime. I bought mine about 10 years ago and hung it on my patio. Since then, I have purchased it many times as gifts for family and friends who've heard mine and admired it. If exceptional sound quality is what you are looking for in a windchime, you will love this one! I highly reccommend it.

Lovely Sound

It resonates to your soul...
I bought this windchime thinking it would probably be like others I have purchased in the past. Little did I know that this beautiful windchime would bring such joy when I hear it play. To me, it sounds like angels playing harps and it feels so good to hear it's song. I put this gem inside of my house and I touch it to hear it's music when I feel like I need to lift my spirits. Excellent
We have bought three Woodstock chimes recently and the quality is excellent. The sound these chimes makes is wonderful! We have bought other mfg's chimes, but this mfg knows what they are doing. These chimes do have a neat shape.

Disappointed
I'm disappointed in the Temple Bell chimes.What others might choose to call "gentle tones" I myself would just call "weak." It's been very breezy here lately, but these Temple Bells seem to respond very poorly.I'm not even sure the top two chimes are EVER activated, but even the clappers on the bottom ones are more inclined to just go round and round the inside of the circular chime as opposed to actually striking notes.I think it's a design flaw.Maybe if the chimes were triangular or even square there would be more striking and less stroking by the clapper.
Temple bells are very soothing
I love my temple bells. My son gave me a gift certificate to Amazon for my birthday and it worked out perfectly because I was able to pick out things that I really liked. The temple bells are hanging outside next to our hummingbird feeder and it is very relaxing to watch the humingbirds and listen to the temple bells when the breeze blows.

dissapointed
I purchased this for a gift to a dear friend and when she unwrapped it the look was enough. I found the item to be rather insignificant in size. The hummingbird seemed to be the largest piece of the entire windchime and I was embarrassed by the rather tiny size of this chime. Once we hung it outside the wind never did move the chime nor did it play a sound though it was quite a bit windy. Sounded ok when we walked outside and it was moving in our hands.

Great Grandmother Christmas Gifts
I bought two of these chimes for my grandmothers, both of whom love to watch hummingbirds.With the below exception of a damaged item, the chimes were very nice.I usually don't care for the high-pitch of small chimes, but these actually have a lovely sound for such short bells.The bird was also well crafted and painted but very fragile.I would only recommend hanging this chime on a porch with limited wind exposure; it would not last long in a windy area.

When I received the chimes they were smaller than I thought they would be, probably my mistake for not reading the dimensions carefully.They are of excellent quality.Although, I do not have any musical background, I felt they were perfectly tuned within a certain range.High pitch. Good Chimes I Reckon!
I live in Santa Cruz, CA., right down the street from the ocean. Santa Cruz tends to get onshore winds, and when we do my chimes sound wonderful. The sound is softer, and more relaxing then most chimes I have heard. These chimes do not always chime and yes it takes a good wind, but I like that aspect of the design. These chimes are a perfect compliment to my house. Cheers.

Great sound... but......
it rarely chimes... that is, unless there is a gale force wind. The sound is beautiful, and has wonderful rich tones that resonates long after the chime has been struck. My only complaint is the frequency of the "chiming". Light, even moderate winds barely get the clapper into motion, and unless its a very windy day, or before a storm (which you dont want to be outside anyhow) it rarely makes it voice heard.

The sound of serenity!
I cannot believe just how beautiful these windchimes sound.They are worth every penny I paid for them.I love to go out and listen to the peaceful resonating tones.Well worth the money,you'll be outside all the time just to listen to them!

Resonating tone
I love the sound of these chimes.The tone resonates for what seems like 30 to 40 seconds.The area I live in does not have a lot of wind this time of year.Usually around 8pm and 7am a breeze kicks up for about an hour to two hours and starts the chime in motion.However a good strike is needed to resonate the chimes.I have three other chimes and they are sounding off alot more than the Orpheus chimes.But it is definitely worth the wait of a brisk wind to hear this chime sing.The Woodstock chimes produce a higher quality tone than the other chimes I have.I definitely recommend the Orpheus if you live in an area that has 8-12mph winds.They are beautiful sounding and worth the money.

Just Lovely.
I have a set of these I bought here in England at a Garden Centre. I think it may a bit misleading of the Amazon to describe them as, "windchimes", I bought my set as "rainbells".
Pretty, but will they ever chime?
