VERY ATTRACTIVE & COMPACT
This is simple and lovely enough for the more 'restrained' and formal garden.(it looks like it cost a lot more than it did).I didn't want a chunky stone birdbath for my front yard and when I set this one up I knew that I had made a good choice.Very classy!

A Disappointment
I bought this item a couple of years ago. The company that makes it is very good about backing up their warranty and sending replacement parts. The problem is the birdbath constantly has parts breaking so after awhile you just give up. Either the motor gives out, or the solar panel (I've replaced each 2-3 times) or the coating on the bowl starts flaking off. Another problem is unless there is direct, full sun the unit shuts off. A cloud passing by shuts it off, your shadow shuts it off, etc.
Just Ok
The solar fountain pump only works in full sun. The "resin" finish looks like plastic.Would not reccomend it.The pump does work well, when the sun is shining right on the solar panel. I was looking for something a little more elegant.

Bad Experience..Manufacturer Disconnected Phone!
We received the birdbath and it worked OK for two days, then the pump stopped working entirely.Like the other reviewer below, we tried "tweaking" for hours on end, but to no avail.

Great Value - Backyard Critters Delighted
This birdbath is great!The sandstone appearance is appealing.It is stable and sturdy without any sand, etc. in the base, even when raccoons pull themselves up to drink!The bowl is easy to clean and is just the right depth for birds and squirrels. The bowl rim has a good-sized grip for bird feet of all sizes.My backyard critters took adantage of this bath within minutes after I filled it.This is a great value!

Mine is beautiful and sturdy with weighted base...
I really don't understand the adverse criticisms of this bird bath. The form is very graceful. Mine is granit rather than sand stone as is shown. It appears authentic except for the faint mold marks. I bought mine locally last season; so perhaps it is not like the one on Amazon.

Easy to use birdbath
I bought this birdbath after having trouble finding a free-standing one that had a large enough capacity to not quickly evaporate dry in the Mid-Atlantic coast's summer while being tall enough to be seen from our back windows.This seemed to fit the bill with its deep bowl and was very easy to install (screwdriver required, no other tools).It's just as easy to empty as advertised, also.

Copper is thin and flimsy
I had similar problems to the first reviewer.The copper comprising the base is so thin that the weight of the bowl with water makes it tilt, spilling water out (to visualize, imagine a toilet plunger, stuck firmly to the floor, but the handle very easily can be moved about).The manufacturer told me it is hand-hammered, and therefore the "craftsman" must have hammered mine too thin.But based on the other review, apparently this isn't a one time problem.
Not very durable
This item looked nice when it arrived but i have had lots of problems with it. Forone the stand is hollow and you can only fill the base so it wobbles and dumps out the water. Also the fountain only works once in a while and when it does it sprays water outside the bath thus emptying it. Not worth the money ... Read more
