The smoker is very usefull , but it come to me, deformed, the cilynder was not a cylinder, the top cap, was deformed too, but thegreater disapointment was: it hasent the hole to join de electric thermostat and the heater. i need to use a drill, an many tools to open the hole. I only thougt that the price to back the smoker, the shipping cost from and to venezuela and the time....were too high , then i proceed to the mechanical operations.

Pass this one by
When I opened the box the smoker and lids were bent with no damage to the box itself. While attempting to assemble the base, I realized they had not cut out the rectangular hole for the heating element. I looked in the manual and was pleased to see a 24/7 customer support number. Wrong! they are only open 8-5. I called "customer support" the next day and explained the situation. I asked if they could send me out a replacement base. She refused to do that saying I had to ship the entire thing back to Amazon and get a replacement from them. This company does not stand behind their product and obviously has no quality control. They printed "Made In America" on the box. Have you no pride? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

My OEM part was was rotted and falling apart after 5 years, even though always covered when not in use.This replacement part is much nicer than the original painted wood. Matches and fits fine. Has a plastic-like coating which makes clean up easy and doesn't appear to stain. ... Read more

My second Webber grill
In 1993 I bought my first Webber gas grill. When we moved last year to Arizona we finally scrapped the grill after 12 years. The only parts that we ever had to replace were the flavorizer bars, because they were made of steel. Unlike the new grillwhere everything is stainless steel, except the sides, and rear back panel of the grill base. The new grill has an insulated stainless steel hood which seems to require a lower setting on the burners to cook with.Last year (2005) I bought a grill from a local Sears store cause it was on sale for half the price of my new Webber. After a year of problems with the grill running out of propane with the tank half full, and dripping grease all over the ground at each corner of the grill, I realized that you get what you pay for. I then started looking at another Webber grill, and chose the Genesis Platinum B.Other than the directions which I feel could use more text along with illustrations which caused me snap 2 fastener bolts in the legs that I had to drill out (my fault for not looking at the illustrations more closely) I am more than pleased with this grill. We have been able to cook shish ke-bobs, baby back pork ribs, turkey breast and have them come out very juicy with only 1 burner going at about 1/2 setting. Again I am happy to have a Webber grill again. As far as Webber's cutomer service goes I had to ordersome regulator knobs for my old grill and Webber sent them to me at no charge even though I told the service rep that the knobs were stolen off the grill and not broken. They still replaced them for me. It is customer service like this that more companies need today.

Almost perfect
I've been searching opinions on Amazon and other sites for some time and finally decided to spring for the Weber.My old grill was prone to flare-ups and uneven heating - so bad that I had to flip the chicken every 5 minutes, and sometime ended up finishing it in the oven so the skin was not totally blackened.Cleaning the enamel coated grates was also a big pain.They didn't rust, but were prone to sticking. The wood side shelves were in horrible condition, one wooden handle had fallen off, and the grill had a considerable amount of rust on the frame.
grills as good as it looks
I have nothing but good things to say about this grill.I researched this purchase for quite a while before I bought it, and I am glad that I did.I had always heard people telling me that if I could get any gas grill, get a Weber.I thought that it was a little bit too much money to pay at the time, until I started researching all the other grills out there with exactly the same features.All of the grills that had similar features were more expensive than the Weber, and sometimes, didn't have all the options that the Weber offered.Plus, the waranty on the Weber is outstanding, and all of the reviews that I have read on the Weber website were extremely positive concerning their support of their products.Well, all of that came to only one conclusion:I was getting a Weber!

TONGS WERE DEFECTIVE
The spring on these tongs broke on first use, in September, 2006.This renders them largely useless. I purchased the tongs after reading manufacturer assurances dated many months ago that the spring problem had been repaired.Despite this assurance, I am here to tell you that a pair shipped recently is still defective.I returned them, and I cannot recommend these tongs.

Poor Spring Design
We took a chance on these for part of a Father's Day gift and the piece of metal that acts as a spring broke after only 1 use. After reading the reviews I called the company instead of returning for a refund. They were very nice and sent out another one. This one just broke - exactly like the other one - after about a month of use. The overall design of the tongs is great like other Raichlen products but the construction is severely lacking. Don't waste your money on this model.

Better than expected
When I ordered this grill I had just had a bad experience trying to purchase a similar one on line at Home Depot.When I found this on Amazon I was delighted.I was told it would arrive on the 8th and it arrived on the 3rd.It was all and more than I had expected and it works GREAT.Thanks Amazon again for being the best buy and the best service.

It's ok.
This bbq is adequate for some grilling needs. Flaming food is more likely the result of inadequate grilling knowledge rather than the fault of the grill. Indeed, were I to choose one shortcoming of this grill it would be that it does not get hot enough. For example, when cooking chicken thighs I had to turn the gas all the way past high to the ignition setting simply to get the bbq sauce to crisp properly. The unit itself is cheaply built with the lowest quality materials, but that is to be expected nowadays on items produced abroad in developing countries with poorly trained and paid workers; by companies looking to cut every conceivable corner. Assembly is quite simple and the guide book avoids the possibilty of confusing instructions by simply doing away with words almost entirely; relying instead on pictographic instructions. If you are looking for a serious grill this is certainly not the grill for you, but if you need a temporary grill which might last for two years, or are an occasional barbequer of such simple fare as chicken, burgers, and sausages then this unit will suffice.

Not a good investment
I bought this grill from a department store and was very disappointed.It was easy to put together, however, it did not work well at all.It caught my food on fire, and the temperature setting does not work well at all--it won't turn down.The ignitor also did not work.I am very disappointed with this grill and am taking it back

Not functional as is.
I purchased this smoker a year ago, to start cooking out some ribs for a family gathering. I had a long time ago the electric version of this cooker, and since getting into charcoal with my grill -- thought that I might as well go Charcoal with the smoker as well (Charcoal + Wood is a heck of a lot of fun for me).

I was really impressed on how fast the order was received. The smoker was in excellent condition. The only negative thing I experienced was that this was a 2002 model and on the Char-Broil website, I could no longer select information for the model. But I'm happy with the unit and have been enjoying the smoked meats.

great little smoker
This is my first smoker. I purchased before reading the reviews. I thought I was going to have problems. I assembled it according to directions and started using it. I have had it for 2 months and have used it at least twice a week. It works great. The only thing is if you are doing something large that takes awhile you will have to keep an eye on the charcoal. Carbon steel like cast iron does need to be seasoned. But once it's done it's very non-stick.
No You Don't Clean With Soap & Water
I guess I should of gotten the stainless steel wok.It's really a lot of work to clean off the protective coating it comes with & then seasoning the carbon steel wok is really taking a long time.We haven't cooked with it yet.I just wanted to comment it's a real chore to clean and season this thing.You do NOT clean it with soap after it's seasoned, just hot water and a scratcher that has no soap and burn it dry.Just like a cast iron skillet.I'm sure after we get done we'll love it. ... I received this yesterday and tried it out on my Weber Kettle grill today.I preheated it as directed and placed some rib eye steaks on the Tuscan grill.Giving each a quarter turn after two minutes produced a very distinctive diamond-shaped pattern that makes your food look very professionally-grilled.At 14" square, you have a fair-sized grilling surface as well.It is heavy to be sure, but cast iron is one of the best grilling surfaces imaginable and the V-shaped grates will assure you that your food will not only taste great, but look really appetizing too!

Instructions weak
Our grill finally arrived yesterday (Ordered July 13) and took a little over 2 hours for us to assemble. The instructions are not always clear and pictures not big enough to see the parts. We did get it together with the exact number of fasteners provided. Hooked it up to natural gas after testing the igniter and cleaning everything. Used a vacuum inside to pick up loose metal shavings. We did have a little trouble getting the grill to light. Instructions call for pressing the igniter for 3-4 seconds. It is rare that this achieves ignition. I called Grand Hall and asked about this problem and they seemed to be stumped. We had followed the instructions to the letter with negative results. Anyway, we did continue to mess with the grill and finally got it to light. Once 1 burner is going, you can start the adjacent burner just by turning it's gas knob. There is a backup starting procedure using a paper match through a hole in the grill's side. Hopefully this will not be necessary too often.
great natural gas grill
This grill is very good quality, and is so simple to assemble that my 14 year old daughter put it together. It is better than what we saw at popular home improvement stores. We also like the fact that for the money it was a very good buy. We have used it several times the meat cooks evenly, no more cooking the meat first and then throwing it on the grill!
