Hot little thing!
We got this for my Dad for Father's Day.I was not there for assembly, but heard that it went well.It is so much nicer looking in person than in the ad pix.A very nice little unit.Dad did say that he might want to drill some holes in the bottom to get a better draft going.But, all in all, we are thrilled with this product.

I got one of these for Xmas and we have already used it twice.Makes sitting out and watching the stars on a cold night very toasty!

My parents' favorite gift
My parents, unbeknownst to us, had been eyeing Chimeneas and not finding any they wanted to put on their new back porch. When this arrived on their stoop a couple of days before Christmas they were giddy. It assembled easily and looks absolutely fantastic. It's a nice size and also feels much safer than those fire bowls. It really put out a good deal of heat. We are all so happy with it. The only complaint is a small dent in the copper hood, but that should hammer out with a hit or two. A great deal with the free shipping!

A little disappointed
I was a little disappointed in the quality of this product and the fact that it had no grate or tools to handle hot wood or to remove the screen.Shortly after purchasing this, I saw comparable models at the local lumber yard that had all these things and were priced $20.00 less than this one.Also, the opening in the bottow which is suppose to drain rain water doesn't.Apparently the top surface of this is higher than the bottom so allows a certain amount of water to remain.The bowl has to be turned on it's side to drain.

We love this fire bowl.We have two locations on our property where we like to have a fire and this is so easy to move around the yard .We had a fixed fireplace, but I hated how it looked.It was always full of ashes since it was such a chore to scoop them up into a bucket and dump them.With the fire bowl, when the ashes (and fire bowl of course) are cold, you just lift the copper bowl off the base, and carry it to where you want to dump the ashes (great for the vegetable garden), so the fire bowl always looks neat.It was gorgeous the first time we used it, with all that gleaming copper, but obviously it doesn't stay that way.It burns very hot and we've cleaned up the yard of all the fallen trees and brush.The screen top is great because you can even use it on breezy days since the screen keeps anything from blowing away.It would be nice if it came with something to lift off the hot screen, but we use a wooden stick with a little bend on the end to lift it, not too classy, but it works.Love it and would buy another one if and when this one needs to be replaced. ... Not a bad product
Overall this Sonara is pretty good.Burns hot, and goes through the wood quickly.Inside volume is good enough to burn scrap wood and even bigger logs.It is definitely not for indoors, and warning label says so very clearly.

Nothing like the picture.....
I received my fire pit within a reasonable time, however, it looks nothing like the picture..I purchased this particular item because of the unusual finish & when it arrived the finish is a cheap black paint with some orange showing thru...I am very disappointed.

When the box came, it was over half ripped open.I thought it was either a return or someone opened it and I may have missing parts.It took a long time to assemble.The color was not at all what I expected (black and rust color as opposed to beige and gold) to match my deck which is why I ordered it.I expected the functional burning grill to be larger.Its measurements were from the outside of the grill.The ash drawer does not fit and I guess I will have to take it apart somewhat to enable it to fit.The drawer is about 1/16" too wide to slide in.I do like the shape of the fire pit. ... This Fireplace really burns, even without propane
I recently received this outdoor gas fireplace as a gift. We decided to use this on our patio while entertaining friends. About a half hour or so into using this pit we all noticed the pit emitting thick black smoke. We turned off the gas and unplugged the propane quickly and the pit continued to burn. A hose was quickly dragged over to put out the fire-pit. My house was filled with the smoke. The bottom pan on the foreplace appeared to be the problem, burning a triangle shape into the pan. The pit was returned the next day and Char Broil was notified andsent pictures. In my opionion, this is a hazard and should be recalled but that ball is now in the hands of Char-Broil and the govt. Never again will a char broil product be bought in this household.

A great addition to our patio and hot tub!
We enjoy this outdoor fireplace very much on our patio and near our hot tub. I built a rolling foundation with caster wheels on our outdoor fireplace so it can be easily moved around to different locations on our patio. The advantage of this is the instant fire and moderate heat with absolutely no smoke! Assembly took a couple of hours. I also had a defective valve but I called Charbroil Customer Service and they sent me a replacement at no charge. I recommend this product.

Gaze Into the Fire...
Be forewarned, it takes 2 1/2 hours for someone very handy to assemble this. The directions are fairly complex and in a few crucial spots you have to guess, since the pictures aren't always clear.

Mixed feelings
I had seen this fireplace for sale elsewhere but Amazon had the best price and free shipping so I decided to buy it, despite reading some negative experiences of previous buyers. My experience was mixed. I received the fireplace with only PART of the assembly bolts. Once side of the fireplace had what I would call a crimp in it where the paint had come off. Near as I can tell, it probably happened not in shipping but perhaps in a warehouse as the product moved from manufacturer to storage. Anyway, I decided to return it and get another one instead of waiting 2 weeks for the bolts from Charbroil like one other customer. Here's where the positive part of the experience came. I went to Amazon customer service page and clicked a link for someone to call me. My phone rang IMMEDIATELY! I spoke with a very pleasant woman who promptly ordered another fireplace at no cost and free shipping. I got an email with a link to the returns page and was able to request UPS to pick up the other item so I did not have to deal with carrying it to the UPS Store. I received my other fireplace in 2 days WITH all the necessary bolts. However, this fireplace had a similar crimp in one of the sides, but otherwise it is fine. Since we like the design of the fireplace, we are planning on hammering out the crimp and re-painting that part. So in summary, Charbroil has some manufacturing issues with this unit, but Amazon rocks for customer service.

Nice unit, damaged when recieved
I just recieved my Trentino fireplace.I recieved it in a pretty beat up cardboard box with lots of extra tape on it.This makes me believe it was opened before, or even returned before.When I opened it up screws and nuts fell from the box.Although they were all in there, they were just loose in the box.I thought, good everything will be alright.Well, the large base has a 2-3" dent in it that caused the paint to chip away.I put it together to see what it looked like and decided it wasn't worth the hassel of returning it and waiting for another one.The fireplace functions well.Like another review said, the removable screens don't firmly attach to the fireplace.It looks nice sitting far out in our yard with some adirondack chairs around it so I'm happy with it.I am just not pleased with Charbroil's flimsy packaging and the fact that Amazon would send such a beat up box with loose parts in it.My first bad experience with Amazon.

JUST LOOKING FOR A LEG

Extremely poor quality
The firepit was fine for the first few months, then all of a sudden, a leg fell off. I thought it was a loose screw or something, but it turned out that an entire chunk of the metal fell off where the leg was secured. There was a large hole in the bottom of the pit. The metal is very brittle and low quality. Avoid this piece of junk.

This is THE fire pit - a well designed product
If you enjoy campfires or cooking over a wood fire, this in my opinion is the best fire pit (hearth) available.I bought mine after using this fire pit at a friend's house where we have the occasional men's night out (we cook thick steaks over the fire and philosophize on the big picture issues in life). My family and I use this fire pit frequently on our patio.It's a real treat.It offers a relaxing place to sit and I find that sitting around the fire with friends is very conducive to encouraging conversation.The best feature is the heavy-duty fire bowl.Unlike the flimsy sheet metal competitors, this fire pit will withstand many years of use.The screened cover is nice if you are concerned with occasional sparks, but I removed mine and put it in storage.I also remove the grill when not using the fire pit for cooking. I have no complaints about this product.I will say though that after many years of use and lack of preventative maintenance, the leg on my friend's fire pit broke, however, the manufacturer sent free replacement legs to him after one simple phone call.My fire pit is still holding up fine and I leave it out year round in the elements.I highly recommend this product if you are shopping for a heavy duty fire pit. ... Arrived Damaged
This item was placed at the bottom of my doorstep in a ripped boxed that clearly should not have been delivered.Parts were wedged together from the damage.
Not as Advertised & extremely bad packaging
