What's the weather?
We have one of these in our entrance; the outdoor probe is by the front door, an indoor probe in the room and we look at it all the time. I always check the indoor temp to see how the AC needs to be adjusted (we like no more than 10 degrees below outdoor temp) and I look to see what it's doing outdoors. It's right by our stairs and I can't even imagine not having it. I use it all the time.

So far, so good
I purchased two WS-9013U wireless stations. I put one remote sensor outside and have the two inside stations in different rooms displaying the information from the one remote sensor. So I have have a spare sensor if anything ever happens to the first one. Everything works great and the display is very readable, up close or from a distance.

Not bad for the money
Purchased weather station from Amazon and is working fine.Here are some possibly useful tips for initial setup and operation.Pay attention to battery installation in the temperature sensor first, then the station second.For an initial test, leave the sensor and station in the same room to stabilize and monitor both temperatures for about 1 hour.Over that time, I observed mostly 0.5 degree difference in the two readings.This test checks normal operation and in my case the comparison was remarkably good.

Information is great, reading it is tuff.
The unit works great. The contrast for the data even when it is turned up all the way is extremely difficult to read except if you get right on top of it. Be careful with the outside unit. Mine fell off the wall within the first day. The double sided tape provided let go, not from the wall but it separated within itself so that part of the tape remained on the wall and part on the unit. Mount it with the screws.
Outdor temperature sensor
I purchased this model and 8117CTWC in 2004 and 2005 The outside temperature sensor died after 1 year the fist time ten months after the second time 2006 got a replecment sensor wich did not work at all

Works great, easy to use
I've owned this unit for several months now and I'm quite happy with it.It was simple to set up, I had no problem getting a strong clock signal and seems to be pretty accurate.It is certainly accurate enough for home use.The simple weather forecast function works well too.

A great detector for the money!!
I picked one of these up several months back and have been very satisfied with its performance.... The coil is waterproof and can be used in shallow water, wet soil or sand which makes this a great beach detector. It's okay and recommended to drag the coil along the ground back and forth SLOWLY for maximum depth. It runs on only 2 9-volt batteries which by using headphones you can really extend the life of. While it doesn't have any visual target windows like more expensive detectors, the two-tone audio speaker is the key to determining what kind of metal you've found. You can literally turn this thing on and go! There's only 2 dials of operation to worry about "all metal" (a 10 o'clock setting is good) and it can be used in concert with the "discrimination" dial (11 o'clock is good here) to eliminate iron and other junk metals. It's simple enough for a child to use and understand.... To save the prospective buyer some trouble, read the manual carefully and practice around your house and yard before taking this into the field --- trust me. This is an ideal first detector for someone who isn't sure they'll like this hobby and don't want to spend lots of money to find out. Bounty Hunter also offers a 5-year limited warranty which shows you that they really stand behind their product. RESEARCH is the key to making good finds though, so don't expect great results without it! Read and learn all you can about your local area's history to improve your odds of success. Purchased the rotisserie basket after reading the other reviews. I have found the basket to work great. You put your meat in to be grilled and clamp down the pieces. Very easy. Beautiful sound
I just got my windchime in the mail today and it sounds so wonderful.I went on the Woodstock website so I could listen to the sounds of the different chimes and decided on the GAS Gregorian Alto Chime.Amazon sent it right out and I am thrilled with my purchase.It sounds even better than it sounded on the website.I will probably buy another one for a different part of my yard.Truly beautiful music!!!

Well tuned, melodic chimes I hung outside my bedroom window. Even on the windiest of nights, I hear a clear well tuned mystical sound from these chimes! Well worth the small investment, four starsbecause I must care for the small wooden disc..it tends to weather quickly exposed to the elements.

Very "cool" weather station
This weather station displays a great deal of information, including temp & humidity for inside and out. Unfortunately, the High and Low temps are not automatically reset daily (as my cheaper generic unit does), these require manual resets. It would be nice to have daily auto-reset as an option. This unit also displays current barometric pressure, and has a 24 hr. history graph of pressure. The user's manual, at first glance, seems to be straight forward; however, there are some glaring defects:

Looked at several weather stations, both LaCrosse and Oregon Scientific.Prices ranged from $50 to $200.This unit is by far the best value for your money.Worked right out of the box; make sure you follow the instructions and power up the remote sensor before installing the batteries in the weather station.Found the date/time signal within five minutes.Main unit and outside sensor located approx 100 ft away communicate beautifully; I can move the main unit from floor to floor and room to room with no loss of signal.You get more bells and whistles on higher end units but for a good, all around weather sensor, this one will be hard to beat.

Grill Alert
Nice idea.But having only used it 6 times or so I noticed the thermometer temp always read 0 degrees.I installed new Batteries and reset the system according to the instructions.I then replaced the temp probe ($15.00), but had the same issue.It is likely there is something wrong with the transmitter, but it does not appear they sell separate components other than the probe.Pity! I don't think I'll be replacing the entire set, but throw it away. It was a nice gift, but I don't think I'll spend $75 to replace.Anyone aware if you can purchase the components separately?

Consider other options for the Price
This was a wonderful gift, and like the other reviews I agree that it has great features including the talking one.

Pretty, but not very functional
I was excited to order a hummingbird feeder that was different in appearance than the standard Wal-Mart fare.However, once the feeder arrived and I filled it with nectar, I was very disappointed.The poor design of the feeder causes the nectar to pour out with the slightest movement (e.g., in a slight breeze).The design of the feeding tubes (being wide open) also encourages bees and larger birds - such as finches - to raid the feeder.

Don't Buy
The plastic mounting piece (to push into the ground) that comes with this rain guage is so flimsy ours broke instantly. It is no more than 1/8" thick in the spots where it has holes drilled in it. Even if it had not broken on the first try to push it into the ground - any slight bump against it would break it. The gauge itself seems fine - but I cannot imagine why they made the mounting plastic so small. ... Read more
