Works great
Works better than I expected.I live on a lake in the southeast and used to have significant mosquito populations.Not the case after a year of this running.
Poorly engineered, cheesy quality
I was wary of buying the Mosquito Magnet because of all the lousy reviews about poor quality and reliability.True to form, mine ran fine for the first 3 weeks, but when it was time to replace the propane tank, I could not get it restarted.Kept getting a 'fault' light.Used the supplied 'gas reset tool' several times, and used several CO2 cartridges in an attempt to get it going - no luck.
Mosquito Magnet Liberty
A very wet Spring 2006 resulted in a very high mosquito population where I live in the Connecticut woods.About 2/3 of my 2.3 acre property is wooded,1/3 of the property is house/garden/lawns.In the daytime, there were lterally clouds of "no-see-ums" around my head joined by numerous biting mosquitos.The repellant that I used had to be renewed frequently.I was being bitten anywhere that I was not protected by repellant or treated clothing - even through heavy denim jeans. I bought 2 and will buy more
My wife hates bugs, and I bought this for her. But I liked it so much I ordered another one and will buy more for my parents. The best thing about Bug Zapper is that you don't have to deal with the 'bug juice' (if you swat them), and you don't need to wait for the bugs to land and wait for your swat. I even used it near a bee hive, and it was the best defense against them. A few cautions - 1) don't zap yourself, it's pretty painful, 2) don't hit metal objects, you'll see sparks flying (incl. some windows - "Low-E" windows have metallic coating), 3) you can't kill fruit flies with this zapper since it has horizontal bars that these small bugs pass through. However, you can find double or triple meshed version on ebay or sharper image if you have the urge to kill all sizes of bugs. 4) some big bugs need extended roasting - I've seen a few biggies come back to life after a brief coma.

Fantastic product, great company!
I bought this earlier in the summer on the recommendation of a colleague.I have a small vegetable garden and raised flower bed area that had been mowed down by hungry deer.The scarecrow works great at repelling animals and preventing destructive behaviors.
Raccoons & Skunks don't come around anymore!
I'll be honest. I was skeptical, to say the least. I was desperate though. We had a newly seeded back lawn and within weeks of the grass germinating, I woke up to dozens of holes in my yard (turned up grass from raccoons and skunks digging for grubs) on a daily basis! After trying pellets soaked in "Coyote [...]" (supposedly the racoons #1 predator) and many other tactics, I decided to try the 'Scarecrow'. My first one broke after 4-days. It wouldn't stop spraying every 3-4 seconds. However, I have had the second one hooked up for over two months now and my lawn FINALLY looks good again, because the Scarecrow has been protecting it from my neighborhood pests! I highly recommend this product. Well worth the money. Now that I have detered the pests from my back yard, they are trying to dig in my front yard. I am contemplating buying one for up there as well. The only "bad" thing I can think of re: this product is that I constantly have to undo my hose from the product to water potted plants, etc. But, it's worth the trade off.

Works well
I recently moved into a house, and was seeing spiders and centipedes on a regular basis, so I decided to buy these to see if I could get rid of them.I've been using these for about 3 weeks in various rooms of the house, and haven't seen a bug since.I have to say that they really seem to be doing what they're supposed to.I have used similar products like this in the past (not from Black and Decker), and have also found them to work, so I believe that this technology actually works well for getting rid of pests.

I'm sorry but this thing has worked in my room. My breaking point was when I found a massive roach in my bed, well, half of it on my bed and the rest on my upper back...

I bought these things because I really hate silverfish in my apartment. Before I used them I only found silverfish in my bathroom. At first I put a big one (for large room) in the living room and one week later I found a silverfish on the wall just 1 foot distance from this repeller. After that I got two for medium room and I put one in my bedroom and one in my bathroom.Several weeks later I found one silverfish in my bedroom (near the repeller) then I thought these things might be pest attractors. So I unplugged the one in my bedroom and put it in the kitchen. But I still found silverfish in my bedroom and bathroom, and living room, but no one in the kitchen until now. yes, it works
It traps not only fleas, but all kinds of bugs attracted to the light. and i don't know about this product controlling heavy infestation. I have used this product, it did catch some fleas, but not all. yes, it does catch fleas, its just not a complete solution to fix a problem but it can assist. i have used foggers to solve my problem. If you have money, then buy this. if short on money, but some foggers at wal-mart.

Can't use it outdoors as stated.
Unless you have outlets in the grass, forget about using it outdoors. Maybe a small closed room? Very small and, let's face it, some duct tape sticky side up sitting under any lamp would do as well.

I used both the Octonal and this Lurex3.The Lurex3 works far better in Coconut Grove, Florida.

Definate must for Asian tiger mosquitos
I bought my Mosquito magnet last year with out the lurex and it caught nothing. I changed the location as per the instructions but still nothing.Finally I stumbled on to this poduct while searching for something else and now I won't use the mosquito magnet without it. I use both attractants in my magnet to be on the safe side. It does work, but it takes time to find that right location.I live in The DC area. This lure lets me go out in the back yard again.

Everyday it catches 50-60 mosquitos (75% regular 25% Asian tiger), Obviously mosquito population is decreased in our back yard because we are not having mosquito bites any more. If you want to kill some serious bugs don't skimp
This thing is the mother of all bug zappers, this is not a toy.Don't buy one of those cheaper 1/2 acre models, if you want to kill some bugs then just do it and quit screwing around.I bought this mainly to kill European Hornets (they look like yellowjackets except they are huge and are active at night, they are attracted to light and they would pop at my windows all night).They do sting and it hurts worse than any bee or wasp ever has.The first night I used this thing is was like a bloodbath.Over 20 dead European hornets in one night.To put it in perspective, it took a whole can of Raid to kill two, yes two of these things.They will not die, Raid just pissed them off and they would fly away!The second night it killed over 30 hornets.Every two weeks another batch of workers is born and they are completely wiped out in 2 days with this thing.I don't have a bee suit so I am not about to go looking for their nest unless they are still here next year.If they are then I'll spring for the full body armour bee suit.

Surprised to Find that This Product Does Exactly What It Claims
After reading the bad reviews, I had to say that I was hesitant to buy this product.However, I had roaches the size of silver dollars, and they creeped me out.I would normally see one every week - sometimes two.Each one would set my fight-or-flight response off and leave me anxious for an hour.The pest control service I have seemed to buy me little if any time from them.
Good spiders repeller
I have had 2 of these ultramate repeller for over 6 months. I placed 1 unit for each floor, which is about 1100 SQFT. This repeller works if you plug into outlet for over months and months, then spiders will go way completely. This won't effect immediately in short of time like about 2 weeks or less. I'm quite satisfy withthis repeller.

Does what it's supposed to do
There are two ways to measure the quality of an insect zapper. First, how powerful is it light? That will determine from how far away insects will be attracted. Second, how powerful are its "shocks"? That will, of course, determine what happens to the hapless critters. The Flowtron BK-40D performs both of these admirably.
Noisey and Kills squirrels.
I purchased this item a few weeks ago to mainly kill fly's. It seemed that this wasn't happening as there were fly's still around and no evidence of fly's being killed. At night there would be a lot of flying bugs getting zapped though the noise would make you jump every time. It scared my Labrador Retriever to the extent she would not go outside after dark. The final straw happened when a young squirrel laid dead underneath it with no marks on it at all, I could only figure that it had got zapped. Absolutely Genious!
When I bought this I was slightly skeptical, but was willing to try anything. We weren't infested with mice, and had up to this point never even seen a house mouse. But we started to notice one little guy running the length of our hallway at night while we were relaxing on the couch. He was a cutie, but I knew we had to take care of the problem before our one little cutie turned into dozens.
Excellent Purchase
We had a mouse in our kitchen and did not have the heart to kill it.We set these traps and within 4 hours we had caught the mouse.We baited it with a cracker and he walked right in.It was also very easy and clean to release him.Would recommend if you are not in to killing the mouse but want the mose removed neatly.Also was perfect because I have a cat but did not want the cat to eat the mouse.The trap kept the two seperated.

They're just asleep

This product does not work
I know there are many people who've posted excellent reviews of this product, and that's what I based my decision to purchase on.However, I have a fairly small yard and no matter where I placed the bug zapper, we were still swarmed by mosquitoes.The zapper did seem to attract a lot of moths and beetles, but those weren't the bugs we were trying to get rid of.I would strongly not recommend this product.

Kills the wrong bugs!!!!
What a waste of money.This type of device has been proven to kill the wrong bugs!!It does not attract mosquitos or black flies or gnats or no-see-ums.Only the bugs that eat them.Consumerreports had show this evidence conclusively.

It scares the dogs
I bought this for out on the patio, where the dogs sleep, to try and kill the bugs but its so noisy when it's zapping the insects that the dogs are scared to stay up on the porch while its running. When a large insect gets in there it can make a loud zap for a long while.

Terrific Mouse Catcher
We saw a mouse in our storage room and put this trap out without any bait. We caught him the first night.But surprise - when we released him there were 3 mice in the trap!We haven't seen any sign of mice since.Great trap!

Hardly Humane Mouse Trap
This trap is hardly humane. The first mouse was killed in the mechanism. The second mouse was trapped in the air hole-his mouth was completely stuck-I had to pry the poor guy out. The third mouse was again caught by its leg in the revolving catcher. I've had much better luck with the Victor Tin Cat. The mice live to release them.

SOLD A BILL OF GOODS, RIPOFF
Warning to all potential buyers!This product is a total farce.I bought four of these and placed them way closer than the required maximum distance.And yes I put brand new Duracells in these things.The moles actually burrowed right next to thems.Save your money and buy the old fashioned traps that actually kill the moles.These things don't work.

Scares moles away
I bought this product about a year ago and it worked great.Unfortunately, I placed it at the edge of our lawn and ran it over with the lawnmower, breaking it instantly.After ours broke, I waited to order a new one.I told our neighbors about my success and they all bought them, since ours was broken the moles all moved back to our yard.Needless to say, I bought a few more.They work very well, you do need to put the battery replacement on your calendar for every 6 months.

Mole attracter !
I have fought moles for years. I have tried poison pellets, gassers, the old water hose, etc. and nothing works. (I have not set traps because I don't want to dig another hole in the lawns.) I bought the Molechaser. I was taken in by another dream seller. Hills popped up less than three feet from the new device. Save your money. Even at half price, it is a rip-off!!!

Thanks to the previous reviewers who forewarned me of Gardens Alive's poor customer service so that I was prepared.The product is excellent and works as advertised, but try to find a similar product from other company.I waited three weeks, called the company and found it was backordered so I cancelled.Six weeks later they finally got around to refunding, and only then because I called about six times.If Gardens Alive would improve their customer service I would highly recommend the product, but as it is BUYER BEWARE!!!

My moth traps were supposed to arrive over a week ago. Gardens Alive had charged my credit card and informed me the items were shipped, I even paid for expedite shipping. After days of waiting with no word from Gardens Alive I contacted them to see what happened, that's when they informed me that the moth traps were on back order and they would contact me when they were in stock!!

We seem to have moths coming out of the woodwork this spring and it was starting to drive my housemates and me nuts!I found these and decided to give them a try.There weren't any moths around me (so I thought) when started to pull the cover off the sticky stuff.Before I finished (I was pulling slowly so as not to rip the string I'd attached through the cardboard out), 2 moths hovered up out of the food shelves and started coming towards it.Two more flew in from the next room over.Within 5 minutes one was stuck to it, but no more for the rest of that day.The next morning there were 3 more stuck to it and the day after that another one.
