Not so green thumb!
Aerogarden doesn't live up to it claims.Plants on outside corners underperform. I contacted Aerogarden directly and they sent me a new pump, which means you have to disassemble the unit and take the plant pods out to install. New pump doesn't seem to make much difference.Save your $ and grow your herbs outside during growing season!

Cool gadget - one caveat
This is one of these more useful kitchen gadgets. Every time I need fresh herbs for a recipe, I end up buying one of those expensive packs, use one or two twigs, and end up tossing the rest, and everytime it irks me. So this looks like it solves that problem, and do so without becoming this huge time sink that a full-blown herb garden would do.
Easy setup
I only just purchased my AeroGarden, so I have nothing to harvest just yet, but I wanted to comment on the high quality of the package, and the ease of setup.I was very pleasantly surprised.The instruction manual was clearly written and diagrammed.You simply screw in the light bulbs, attach the light to the base, add water, drop the seed packets into their slots (clearly marked), cover them, plug it in, drop in a couple of tablets and you're good to go.

Looking Forward to the New Kits
I have to agree with previous reviewwers comments about the selection of herbs in this kit.I would have preferred parsley, thyme and rosemary to some of the herbs in the kit.Two types of basil is just overkill when there is a separate basil kit.
Tasty herbs, but why these?
Well, this is the kit I tried first, and the back row of plants & center front are doing the best.Both basils shoot right out of their pods.The Dill and Cilantro are growing tall, and there is lots of mint, but it is tiny.The chives are looped back into the sponge & have yet to try to stand up straight, and the Oregano is sprouting within the sponge, but has yet to come out of hiding.And this is at the beginning of week 2.I believe I could probably harvest a little basil at the end of week 3.

Goodbye Slugs, Hello Tomatoes
I have used the Topsy Turvy Tomatoe Planter for 3 seasons now, and will never, ever plant my tomatoes in the ground again.This product is sturdy, simple to use, and produces beautiful fruit.Because the plants grow toward the sun and never touch the ground, the slugs and other critters cannot ruin or run off with your produce.As I have already stated, I have used the same bags for 3 seasons now, and have not had any problems at all.I highly recommend this product.

Works Great!Looks Nice, But Why Do You Care?
I bought this pail at the same time as my big compost bin, and I've been very happy with the complementary interaction of the two!I love having it available to store table scraps until I'm ready to take a trip out to the backyard- which can be a couple of days!I usually keep it under the sink or leave it on the countertop as a reminder, but I'm amazed that it never smells when the lid is closed and the charcoal is in place.
Too Ugly for My House
I'm sure this thing works as advertized but wow, is it ever ugly! I stuffed it back in the box and sent it back with a shudder and feeling priveledged that I had to pay the return postage.
No Smell for the Lazy Composter
Well, if composters can be lazy, meaning, if you like to leave things to rot in your house bucket because you're too busy- like me- to take it out to the compost bin, this is a dream come true. Sure, it's not much to look at but this light weight, large house bin is odor-free, bug free (no fruit flies). I pile mine with onions, coffee grounds, lint from the dryer, bread, scraps, even bananas and let it all sit for a week until I get motivated to run it outside. You can even get up close and try to sniff the closed bin- not much to smell. The lid has a 3 in x 3 in coal filter that snaps into place (easily replaceable) and we've not had to replace it and it's been at least 6 months. The tub is easy to clean and the handle is sturdy. I'd buy this one again if it ever wore out. But that's not likely unless I fall down the stairs with it, but hey, I said lazy not clumsy.

Works Great
I looked at a lot of options, and even ordered a composter with a crank, thinking I didn't want the hassle, but I ended up with this one instead. I have a three pronged cross between a pitchfork and a rake out there and just turn with that. It is very easy and works well. I've been doing it for a couple months now. I had a good spot for this where it gets a LOT of sunlight and clearly, it is producing the desired effect as I am already seeing a lot of breakdown when I turn in new contents.
